What would those be like with custom insoles? I know the whole thing about hyperfeel is that the magic is in the insole.

That's a good question. The insole/footbed is thick and acts as the midsole too, similar to what Adidas did with the Suciu. I also think the arch is a little higher than normal footbeds. Putting a custom insole in might make the fit more restrictive or uncomfortable.

Anyone can remind me the names of the brand & model that Dylan ripped off with his first gravis shoe ?

the new lakai insole is fucking weird. its super squishy in the heel and rock hard in the toe area. its 10 times better than the old one though.

pointless.  without the insole, it's just another shoe.  just make sure to try it on somewhere first... that shit is stiff and the toe is mad fucking small and narrow.

A little bit of an overstatement. The Dylan toe is small and narrow.

The Bruin is a stiff shoe but that's also what makes it so damn good.

I actually was pretty disapointed when I tried them on when in Madrid. I was stocked on the look but they were stiff and narrow indeed. Maybe it's the insole that it's too dense and hard that makes that stiff feeling.

Thanks to NB# for the goods!

Going to give some pairs to homies to try out some NB#'s that haven't had a chance to skate a pair yet.

I can't stand the adiprene. I walked around in my new Sucius for a day to break them in and had foot and leg pain I never experienced in my life. Took off the shoes and the pain immediately stopped. Kinda wish they made the Superstar Vulc without it.

My only gripe would be how it sticks to my sock. Did you get a size of the Sucius that was not true to fit or something?

Hated them. They hurt my little toe so bad because they weren't snug at all. Donated them quick.

ok so idk if i should delete the other post, but initial thoughts, i'm glad i got a 14 because a 13 would have been way too small. these things are light as fuck, and they look better in person and they aren't "bulky" like some reviews ive seen. and for some reason they came with this ungodly big dc sticker, if these skate half as good as the mike mos or the lynx then this should be excellent, might make a review

I still think the first Koston Nike is pretty much the perfect shoe.

Really like these too, although the back digs into my heels sometimes

These were my favorite Cole DC pro model. Can't beat them when DC site had them for $20 and sometimes can be found at Marshalls/Ross.

yeah that foam midsole that goes all the way through the shoe on the mike mos and coles is so comfy....was wearing my mike mos around the house for a good two months. before that i skated the emerica laced for a solid nine months (not the same pair duh) and i stopped skating these because they made my feet hurt- got me the mike mos and walked around in them and all the pain was gone almost instantly!

The Adiprene has been re-designed for spring 17 shoes as well as the sole problem with the busenitz vulc has been fixed.

It was probably the lack of support. They are really flat, I swapped insoles and the shoe feels off. I almost pulled the trigger on some Figgys until I found out they were also flat. I've said it before and I'll say it again, they should've added arch support to the figgys, either in the midsole shape or a better insole.

That goes for the whole line up ( well out of the few newer models I've tried anyway )
