Yeah I own both and I cannot ever skate normal Chucks. The pro ones are amazing and I can wear those an entire day and be fine.

All of mine have 8 as well. The eyelets are also dull and in your picture it looks like the top shoe has shiny eyelets.

Another tell is the curvature on the back of the shoe, the top one doesn't have it.

They do actually seem tiny bit different here and there upon closer inspecting so now I think they're faux ones too... oh well, they were only 7 euros so I aint that mad. and for the eyelets, most of the shoes on converse website has only 7, not 8? Could it be size issue?

These are a good cup too.

I don't like em as much as the FREEMONT but the courthouse is lighter. Very nice shoe IMO

Yeah I found it a little weird but it's not even visible really. It's just visible because of my camera flash

The width and toe shape are perfect to me. I hate narrow shoes and pointy toes

I like it. But I hear ya it's odd. Youde have to wear shorts or pretty tight pants to notice it though.

It's got a sock type liner so you can't tuck your pants behind the tongue. And they make your pants look baggier than they are because of the way your pants sit over the tongue.

I have some Fremonts but I relegated them to non-skate shoes. For some reason the suede bagged out in the front after 2 sessions. Every ollie was directly on the suede and not on the rubber at all. The shoe is so damn comfortable though. I might try getting another pair a half size smaller to see if that helps.

Damn. I've been eyeing the Fremonts lately. I had a pair of Guymars this past summer and really liked them after changing the insoles. With the standard insoles they were too loose on my feet even though the size was fine otherwise. Skated them until the sole was worn through and they didn't bag out one bit at any point. Was kinda hoping the Fremonts to be similar but better. Lakai sizing seems to be kinda inconsistent though and I can't get them locally, so now I'm even more unsure than before. $:-\$

I'd up Lakai on that man. Mine are well built and def. No way.

The sizing is off though at least on mine. I wear a 9.5 and should have got a 9

I'd still give it a try IMO

It's the perfect balance between technology/look and feel.

I hope they don't discontinue them because this shoe is as perfect as I've seen since the es Ronnie Creager IMO

Tempting. My general feeling with Lakais have been that going half size down would maybe be better than going with true to size. Some Lakais on the other hand have felt fine true to size. That's what I was referring to with the consistency comment.

Damn man. I might have to give them a try. You've kinda sold me on them. At least check them out. I don't put my pants behind the tongue anyway so that doesn't bother me. But Emerica has some nice stuff coming out soon too so looks like I'll be stoking up for a while. I'm kind of upset at Emerica for slowly phasing out the Westgates so I might need to give them a brief silent treatment until I'm over it (or those Romero Chelsea boots come out).
