Been blowing this place up with posting my gear.

That's my main rotation of shoes. I'm skating the Arto's and wear the 533's when I do most of my running around. About to start rocking the K-Walks since all the snow is almost melted away.

I was looking for those exact mids in that colourway only a few hours ago. Now I have the money, and of course they're nowhere to be found in my size. How do they skate?
My local has them and will ship.. its called comfort skateshop

Etnies reached out to me and asked if I would like a pair of their new Helix shoe. Can't say no.

They asked what color I wanted, 3 to choose from. I wanted a simple Black/White one. I guess I got the Barney Page colorway since his name is on the insole.  ;)

We the same shoe size, my man!  :)

The shoes feel pretty good when I walked around in them, just super stiff in the toe box. Probably the plastic stuff on the vamp.

The Vamp part, front part of the shoe has that plastic cage thing. I am sure it gets broken in due time.

Hey Tate,

Does the plastic stuff feel durable? Is it like the Nike Tre?

I saw this eS interview and Kelly Hart made it seem like it was a sort of soft nylon that would rip pretty fast

It's flexible, I will give that. As the durable part, I am unsure unless they get skated/worn down. I wore them around today and they actually broke in nicely. The forefoot isn't that bad anymore after breaking them in.

But they can't nearly be indestructible like the Zoom Tre, a train could run those over and the shoe still survives.

If the plastic on the Etnies is as half as good as those, then they could be on to something.

Thanks man, appreciate the insight. I've been trying to dig up some Zoom Tre's from eBay because I'm sick of shoe gooing my dunks.

felt like a come up since everything is usually way out of my size. materials seem nice and fits well. never skated regular bruins only the hyperfeels, and i think these are better

those are some of the best fitting skate shoes ever made... take a razor to the "swoosh" and take em off and you'll have a super clean looking shoe (the wool gets shredded anyways)

just got these:

25 euro's which is a steal. And they're REALLY comfy. The ultracush sole actually works really well.
They fit perfectly.

Als got these busenitz adv's for a pretty good price. Tight fit which I like a lot. the insole is kinda high towards the hell, so my heal kinda slips out, I hope that will get better once they're broken in.

Also picked these up. Very comfy, super cheap.

good call on the swoosh removal. I figured it would have glue behind it. took off the tongue tags too for good measure.

super hyped on these now

yes!  glad you did.  btw - you did a better job of clearing all the leftover stitching than I did.  yours' look fantastic.  make me wanna get another pair just to chop the swoosh.

Man, I wish I could find more Busenitz ADV's in my size and (preferably) on clearance...  I skated 4 pairs and would be perfectly fine with skating them the rest of my life and then they went ahead and cancelled them.  Currently on the Busenitz Pro's, which is a another great shoe, and the first pair of proper skate shoes I bought after a 6 years hiatus in the navy/white colorway.
