Thank you for the tips about the insoles. I skated a pair before and I was also shocked because of the insole. But other than that the shoe worked really well for me, so I m just going to throw in some old lunarlons and call it a day;)

So many companies have garbage insoles these days. I’ve seen shoes where I’d be better off putting a piece of balognia in them then using the stock insoles.

Works great but I had to keep swapping them out every few days. 7/10

Nice get. I'm guessing you wear a weird size? Those are next to impossible to find in more common sizes.

Little review of the Busenitz RX vulcs. Copped em from an Adidas outlet store £24.95 shortly before Christmas and skated em with a fresh board. Stopped skating em about a week or two back, wasn't skating 24/7 during winter but definitely a few long sessions a week. Wasn't keen on the gold cw so I sharpied the shit

Anyway initial impressions; I had to go a full size up - not sure how or why but yeah a full size up. They fit really well, snug and not overly tight. Very comfy shoe in general. Padding/impact wise I'd probably want to chuck some better insoles in if you're jumping down shit but for me mostly skating smaller street sets/ledges/tranny/etc they were fine, no heel bruise or any general foot pain/injuries. Anyway here's after skating them (as you can tell I can not skate switch)

Skating wise they were pretty good to me, good compromise of board feel and padding. Toecap is somewhat pointy and has a great flick on it. Broke in after the first session and didn't end up particularly floppy, held their shape fine. Laces blew out pretty damn quick but thats a given, probably the only flaw with them. Grip was good, kept it's grippiness even after they started to flatten out on the bottoms - what was weird was that initially the grip on them felt terrible, like real slippy and shit dunno if it's a factory coating on the soles or what but it went away after an hour or two.

Durability wise you can tell from the pictures really, been trying to up my flatground game somewhat so lots of flicking. Front end held up and still had good flick after it started to deteriorate. Seemingly a few layers under there as although it looks like it's went through completely theres still an inner layer but I don't see it lasting much longer. It's also slightly starting to separate from the sole a little bit. Stitching started to blow out near the end too. Bumped into a guy skating the same pair and his had separated from the red heel tab completely - not sure if that's a defect or what as it didn't happen to mine.

tldr; good comfy shoe, good flick, probably not much in the way of ankle support/cushioning but they served me well. quick break in, decent durability and overall a relatively nice shoe to skate.

Nike Dunk Low TRD

The tooling on these is perfect. The amount of padding in the tongue and ankle collar is just right. I believe, from what others here at Slap have told me, that Nike will no longer label any Dunks TRD but that the puffiness has returned to the Dunk in general. I hope so because I love these. They should still make Ishods or slim Dunks for people who want those but for me personally, this is the way to go. I love the leather/ suede combo and I hope they make an upcoming Orange Label Dunk in leather/ suede. It really is the best of both worlds. The gum sole has great board feel IMHO. I'm gonna switch to the extra black laces once these grey ones rip and I know that's going to look rad.

thats good to hear since these are up next for me too! Just sharpied all the grey parts of the shoe black since i hate grey on shoes and can not skate them- i still have no idea why....!
last dunks i skated were the KB dunk highs that were too good to be true. if they bring a little puff back that be good too

Yup. I skated a pair for 5 weeks straight when I went on a skate vacation this year, and they're still going. I put a better insole in em', but god damn that shoe worked well, and looks dope. I have the burgundy ones.

Thinking of doing the same so I can skate one of my pairs. Those all whites are so nice. I wish those black leather ones had black soles, but thinkin of getting those, or whatever ones I can find on sale.

If the Scams had tongue centering straps, they would be perfect. I skated the green suede ones recently and they were amazing. Got 2 more pairs on deck, hopefully they wont stop making them soon.

Do what I do - one dot of super glue on the top/inside corner of the collar, and hold the tongue there until the glue sets. Works perfect.

Went way out of my usual shoe zone and decided to give these a go. I usually skate vulc (previously skating Emerica Wino G6), and the 3st 003 have been incredible from the moment I put them on my feet. Broke in almost immediately, really nice flick off the toe and they're very supportive. They seem like they'll last a while, but I will certainly get another pair again. Hopefully they'll continue to be in the Adidas lineup for a while.

Been wanting to post all the shoes I skate, but never do since I'm not sure how much of a SLAP head I wanna be...

Anyway, just got these Samba ADV. Feel super good and had to go half size down from my TTS like all Adidas I skate.
They basically have no cushioning and the insole is stiff, so I'd imagine they will have awesome boardfeel and start to hurt my feet after a few weeks. I also don't feel like the suede is going to last long because the sole of the shoe is pretty much flush with the suede with no rubber to chomp through first.
They fit great without any pinches, but I miss the heel lock of my New Balances.

My Louie Lopez Pros came in, but I think I might send them back. I got the same size as my CTAs but they’re suffocating my toes. They’re really narrow too, despite them being plenty long enough.

I noticed since cons put the nike zoom insoles in their shoes rather than the old lunarlon insoles I've gone up a half size. Used to go down a full size, but not anymore. Also they seem to fit my foot perfectly now, which is nice bc I hated those big dumpy lunarlon insoles.
