How are the Lakai's feeling? I really wanted to try the sheffield xlk on the search for the perfect cupsole. I have doubts about Lakai but they look nice.
DC and New Balance are the ones with perfect cupsoles

I really hated the ollie patch thing until about 3 days into my first pair when I totally forgot about it and haven't noticed it since.

Where did someone find the .004 for 30% off?

guess that was me in the coffee break thread?

semi local shop had some 30% off everything sale and since i can not control myself very good over buying shoes i got those.....83€ is alright though!?

They are nice! not as cushy as the Dissent but still a great simple shoe. And no insole issues like with their newer vulc models.

Do you mind saying what the insole issues with the new vulcs are? Was looking at some of those too, just really Lakai in general I always feel the need to buy every few years.
I honestly don't know why I'm skating anything but New Balance at this point though...

Just stick to NB#, they are really killing it right now in terms of durability, heel lock, and quality materials.

How do the Louie Lopez Cons fit? Are they true to size or are they like the CTAS and you have to go down a 1/2 size?

I wear a 12.  Have to go down to an 11 in CTAS.  Tried on the Lopez in an 11 yesterday and it was semi doable but probably a bit too snug.  Didn’t have access to an 11.5 or 12 to try.  Seems like they maybe run a skooch big but not quite as much as CTAS.  If you only go down .5 size for the CTAS, I bet the Lopez would be pretty close to tts for you.  Shoe seems really nice.

I'd say the Louie's are TTS. I'm a 9.5 in CTAS and even the Louies in 10 is a little too snug for comfort.

Feels normal, doesn't feel high/tall at all, given that there isn't an insole in the traditional sense your foot sits lower. It looks way chunkier than it feels and there is plenty of flex, especially mid foot.

Are they comfortable? (Loved how comfy the Crockett 2s are)The insole being sewn in worry’s me. How do they skate?

Very comfortable, not much squish like the UltraCush. Mild arch support. They feel a bit long, like the TnTs did before the SGs (fuck that guy). Roomy toebox, good heel lock, especially when you lace the TOP eyelet, because, you know, that's what it's there for...some people's children were just never taught some shit they should know...

They have the same type of curve the Chima 2s and TnT Protos do (tried both on as well), not as pointy as the Walkers (which were too tight for me.

I've only rolled around to check board feel, a few kickflips/ollies and impossibles...they skate like new shoes, all that 'broken in out of the box' nonsense doesn't apply; there is plenty of sole flex but the outsole (if you rock/move left to right for example, is a tad rigid but it is a new shoe. Going to wear them around/to work, then skate them for real tomorrow night/Saturday. I'll post an update.

Fucking hilarious.

Shame you're not.

something about cream/off white and black together just looks wrong to me

I used to think it was weird, too, but the I picked up the TNT SGs (again, fuck that guy) in the mid off white checkerboard and really liked them, which is why I grabbed these (in addition to the other colorways sucking, tho the grape leaf is pretty sweet).

Cool tiny socks

Matched no shows for lows all day. Crews for mids. Fuck that tall sock low cut shoe business.

Kids are funny - I wore these to work to break them in, and regardless of [lol] 'skate fashion' having a clean appearance in my industry, position and more importantly, workplace is mandatory. While we can dress 'down' by normal business casual standards we still need to have proper attire: clean, tied shoes and a kept, clean appearance (no rips or tears). Sorry to disappoint. My guess is they're just hating because they can't afford new shit when it rolls out and have to make themselves feel secure somehow, it is the internet after all ;)

You see, these cashier/warehouse bois can get away with looking untidy and I'm sure their overweight lady friends that have them in the friend zone don't mind they look like trash outside of the park/session.

You can't convince the brainwashed that wearing white, shin-high socks with dark colorway low tops is poor taste, more than half of them probably wear crew socks and skate shoes to hand in their applications and still use shoelaces as belts... ;D

You can tell by how defensive you are getting that you know how terrible your feet look. Switch out the vans with some NB trainers and you are still dad ugly.
Also fuck you for assuming your work has more value than literally anyone else when you can roll up looking like the goon you are to impress the milfs around the water cooler with your skater gear. You make me sick.
