they are really good. one of my favorite shoes I’ve ever skated.

Yup, great shoe. Perfect low profile cupsole - not bulky, but just the right amount of support. I felt like Figgy's first shoe was the ideal upgrade, but the Laced is still dope. Had a few pairs.

Edit: My current two pairs I'm skating - some old Supra Ellingtons that I'm giving a second life, and a pair of Reebok Royal Techque T's that I've been skating the last couple months. They needed lots of crazy glue, and the soles are thin as hell, but they skate good otherwise. The Supra's are dope, and skate well. I have another pair in the same color on reserve that I probably won't skate.

How's the grip on these? I had the first figgy shoe and the grip was less than desired.

It's pretty comparable to the Figgy, but I never found either to have grip issues. If you like a grippier shoe, a softer sole helps, but it will wear down quicker. Vulcanized soles with the more traditional tread tend to be plenty grippy, as a suggestion off the top of my head.

I want another pair of OG Ellingtons so bad. Def one of Supras better shoes.

Ellington’s Supra shoes were really good. I had the diablo as well and that shoe was sick. Shops that I went to didn’t carry them, and I could see why (Supra chose its bed, and it was at the mall) but that’s the only reason why I didn’t constantly skate his shit.

Got the lynx on today. Super comfortable. Going for Shanahan vibez wit da khaki.

[close]

I bought the same colorway online for $75. Surprising how much thinner they feel, than they look. The DC chunky cupsoles are the cat's meow.
[close]

Got them right as they came out for a similar price online, as well. Having never owned the Lynx, I was also surprised at how flexible and thin for the “thick” cupsole vibe it has. I like!
Making me want Kalis OG since these are so comfy and skate pretty good for the couple sessions I’ve had in them.
Board feel and flex on the Lynx is so much better than lots of people would expect.
Truly one of the best all around cupsoles in the market.

Yeah for sure if you can find a good price on them, do it! They're kinda chunky but definitely slimmer and thinner than an OG Accell or something. I've skated them a bunch of times and at first they felt clumsy, but once I broke them in and added a better insole, they actually feel great. And it's super fun and funny to look down at them. I think I'm gonna keep them as chillers but maybe try and find another pair to skate. Don't think they'll last super long to skate in though.
[close]

Definitely not, if they're anything like the original Ones from the 90's. Those shoes became almost unwearable after 5 minutes of skating when I had a pair back then. I had the green with tan stripe. The stitching on the stripe ripped instantly and the whole shoe opened up. The folks were not happy about that one... no sir.

True story: My dad bought me a pair of these as my very first proper skate shoe. From a Footlocker, I believe.

They fell apart after one skate, and because the old man didn't understand anything about skateboarding, and specifically griptape, he stormed back to Footlocker to demand a refund or a replacement pair, which he got.

Even at the age of 15 I used that second pair strictly as chillers.

Yeah I wish Emerica took more chances instead of going full Dekline but I can appreciate that some folk like plain Jane and some like buck chuck.
Dont let it get to you bro! It’s just pictures on a rectangle, no reason to allow that to depress you  :)

Laced is my favourite shoe of all time, not for skating tho. I wear them around all the time, have been for years. As of right now, I own 6 pairs. Ive been skating Figgy 2s and Romero Americans lately, and the Americanas are fantastic, ideal shoe for me. Emerica is the best.
