I already cut it out with a razor. Haven't inspected them, just threw them in the closet after receiving.

You might say, I've found my go to. These things are indestructable. A month in of pretty heavy skating and grip tape has barely touched upper. I want to change it out just out of being sick of looking down at the same shoes.

I love them too. I'm skating the navy blue pair. They're also comfy and more supportive than most the shoes I've been skating lately.

Little did you know that the black thread is the only thing keeping the shoe from falling apart  ;D

Yeah Rowans look great. Nice balance between the normcore Bearcat type thing and a more modern Vans design

I shouldn't have spent the money on these but I kept picturing them in my head as a skateable Cortez and I pulled the trigger. They feel really sturdy. Curious how the insole will work with Blazers after it packs out a bit. The tongues are oddly long. It'll be nice to have something a little more supportive to skate.

Definitely not balling, just lurk ebay/depop etc a lot, but I've been skating pretty much only retro 1 highs for the last year or so. Superglue on the stitching and laces goes a long way and they end up lasting a while. Shoe goo + jessup instead of mob will also help lots.

This leather worker guy has an awesome video dissecting this shoe:

In a recent video he says he has an idea in the works on how to stitch on margom cupsoles to shoes. Sounds pretty exciting to maybe apply to worn out skate shoes.

Yeah I would never skate in all leather OG high especially an OG colorway like shadows but the non-OG build in mids and lows and such are pretty much the same for skating purposes and come in diff materials. Def cheap pairs of phat lows out there. They flick amazing

Tuque those fit really narrow? Feel like alot of the SBs have lately, specifically GTS return. They look like a really low cut/shallow

Bro, take out the insole Blazer GT's... Narrowest sole ive ever seen in a shoe.

Adidas are good, but shitty tongue's, and some have elevated heel, so a "drop" like running shoes.
Nike's have better comfort in the heel area, better heel lock by far, and tongue stays in place. However, their toebox is rather narrow, and ofc, they dont last as long as most adidas imo

I feel like they fit just slightly wider than Blazers maybe? Definitely feels like my heel is locked in and they aren't too shallow.

Hah I probably wont have a whole coffee break in me but I'll do the like, espresso shot after I skate them a bit. Might be a little while though, screwed my leg up today filming a buddy...awkward slam trying to save the camera. I used the React insoles in the pair of Blazers I've been skating today and they feel great though. They're nice enough that I'd probably pay for them as after-market insoles if Nike offered that. My heels have been hurting with the thin Zoom Air ones lately

I did get these to skate
Reebok Workout Plus SK

What does the SK stand for? Who knows. What fucking sucks about reebok is that in a world were my wide feet can't fit any shoe properly, rebook feels like a quarter size too big. I'll start skating them in a week or so.
have you skated Workouts before? I have a couple pairs with a white sole, but they don’t grip that well and my feet slide around too much. I’ll do a crooked grind and my front foot will slide off the nose when I lock in. Wondering if you’ve noticed if the gum sole is grippier, or comparable to skate specific shoes
fuck you bama

You might say, I've found my go to. These things are indestructable. A month in of pretty heavy skating and grip tape has barely touched upper. I want to change it out just out of being sick of looking down at the same shoes.

What model Vans are these? My old school Vans already have a hole in them only after a few days which has me contemplating buying another brand but I'm curious in the ones you got.

Those are the Rowans.

Out of curiosity, are your Old Skool Vans the Pro ones with the removable insole and extra rubber behind the canvas in the ollie hole area? A lot of people complain about Vans durability, but it ends up they are skating in normal lifestyle Vans which aren't really built for skateboarding. Vans Pro skate versions of their classic models are definitely worth to $5 upcharge or whatever.

They are built for people who never skate, built to be cheaply produced because those folks don't need abrasion durability. It would be like complaining about Nike SB durability when you were skating in a cheap Nike Sportswear canvas Blazer. Shalom.
