Reynolds G6s have a break in period for sure. After that they're pretty perfect for a cupsole that skates like a dunk.
[close]
toe looks pointy, do they get snug in the toes? TTS? same size as wino g6? might stay on the lookout for a pair before they gone for good good

To me they felt really snug but tts, I still skate them without insoles because they're too tight else.

I'm on Sk8 Mid Pros now, they came woth popcush insoles but feel like thrash even with them. Are the Rowans cushion really any different than pro classics? I also have some dicksons waiting but I'm scared that they'll be too thin.

I tried skating my Reynolds g6 yesterday since everyone loves them so much. They don't work for me at all.

The cupsole?

I felt the same about mine when I threw them into the rotation a few months ago. Coming from a thin pair of States I was mobbing everything and my foot was slipping even on nollies. I've gotten used to them now though and i'm not looking forward to them being gone. They're damn comfortable.

Look into the Spanky G6 if you haven't already. A little but thinner but also has the same Pour-In G6 midsole as the Reynolds G6. I skate vulc but wear the Spanky's around as they're really comfortable and from what I've heard don't really require much break in time.

First pair of cupsoles in years, I'm a big fan now that I've gotten used to em. Definitely helping with the soreness I usually get in my knees/ankles/back.

Those look nice, have you skated them?

seeing this picture immediately makes me think of Rob Welsh in Fully Flared skating MJ-3 Hi's

After a while without any Busenitz after skating them for years, I decided to try these out.  Haven't skated them yet but so far am really happy with how they fit/feel.  Thanks to the dudes who told me to stay tts.

These look disgusting without the tongue over the pants

Who’s enjoying their pair of Lakai Carroll re-issues ? How’s the fit ?

I’m about to order a pair.

I have the black/blue pair and they feel good! Comfortable but not too squishy/floppy. It feels like a cupsole but it's not too hard and rigid for a cupsole, either. They feel secure on my foot and I don't tie them super tight to feel that way. I'd say TTS but some people feel like they need to go 0.5 size up. I order the same size as I do in the Atlantic and Proto that I tried last year, which is a similar but slightly narrow fit (in my opinion). Have you had any Lakai cups in the past?

My last pair of Lakai’s were either Biebel’s first pro shoe or the Carroll 4 bubs in black leather, so it’s been about 13-14 years since i’ve put my foot in a Lakai.

I have to factor in an ankle brace and my narrowish foot. If it helps:

My 9.5 NB 288’s are perfect for walking and chilling, but too narrow for my brace and a 10 feels too long. In DC (which has been my go-to for 10 or so years) i’m a 10 for pretty much everything except 9.5 when they made the Wes Kremer vulc shoe. Kalis OG’s feel quite wide for me at 10, but too short at 9.5. Kalis lites feel a bit short at 10. My Emerica Reynolds G6 were 9.5 and felt fine. Adidas: nothing fits properly in any size except for the Busenitz in 10.

Oh okay! They're definitely different from the cups back then.
The Carrol doesn't feel too narrow but not too wide either from heel to toe.  Some people felt like they needed to go 0.5 size up since they were a little snug for them. I'm not sure how an ankle brace could fit I'm these, as I've never worn one before in my life with a shoe. The heel/top of foot around the ankle doesn't feel super tight but it's not super roomy, it could work with a brace. The only limiting factor, may be the tongue straps, since it may give less to accommodate the brace?

Thanks for the pic and the info, it really helps. The opening looks like it could accomodate my brace well enough. Really like the toe shape, looks like it has a good flick.
