Og 808s. These felt like bricks after 440s. I skate a pair of 808 maybe a year or two ago. I wore double socks in these without insoles, walked and skated flatground a bit and now they feel great.

Jordan 1 SB Highs that I bought for $27, with a purple lace from a pair of Omar Salazar Pros...

Jealous of those MJ-1s @moonordie (I know they technically the OG-1s, but c'mon, they will always be Marc's), they were the first shoe I ever bought from a legit skate shop, the tan and navy jawns from Nu-Wave Surf & Sport in Laconia, New Hampshire...

I look periodically for them, can never find them in my size...

dude! I got my first Emerica Ellingtons from that same shop one summer when I was visiting my Family up at the Lake House. That same summer my Uncle Arthur Demoulas gave me and my brother like 100 bucks in Quarters for the arcade. I haven’t been back since.

Yeah, my Moms side of the family is the Market Basket family. I grew up in the Bay Area, and my Local shop was Metro Skate Shop (Corey Duffel and the Skate Line NBD guys) and my cousin was a Co-Founder of Skidmark mag.

I’ve got the same exact ones, with socks they’re chill; otherwise they make my feet sweat and then squeaky when I walk. They’re cushiony enough, but the soles wear somewhat quickly if worn outdoors.

These rule but I hate my 480s. Do these have tongue straps, ect? Mine are early ones so maybe they updated some things.

YES been thinking bout posting something on this.

I'm regular and I don't do disproportionately more switch flicks each session yet my right toe and ollie areas take a beating. My flick feels different on regs compared to switch. On switch I catch a thick full swipe each time. On regs it's a soft flick even if I try to get that deep dig like on switch. I think the angle/depth of the flick on switch tears it up whereas regs is gentler and shallower if that makes sense, so it mainly is wearing the more durable rubber than the uppers of the toe.

Ha, cheers. For me, my deal is that my flick aim isn’t the best so it takes off more material by putting more into it. I’ve theorized that that ankle might have some extra mustard through all the years of pushing as well

Oldest trick in the book but I always tell myself for a plain switch flip to try to doubleflip it so I don’t underdo things

To be fair myself, my swich foot grabs more grip than my main foot. My main foot will have more controlled damage in key spots. My switch foot is just bruised suede a across the entire side of the shoe.

Been a while since I’ve had new shoes, decided to retire my spanlys and break in some figgys.

I hate shoes with sock liners, I used to cut them out of the Romero’s, but these are far more intricate.

We’ll see if I get used to it.

Good looking shoe.  Was wondering what they’d look like with the rope laces in
