Heel Blisters from shoes
« on: January 30, 2008, 03:25:01 PM »
I got Nike Blazers and they dont have any like heel area or achellies tendon protection since there high tops and go straight up and after a couple days my heel got a pretty bad blister, hurts like shit when i skate in those shoes. Is there anything I can buy, somthing that will last and put in the heel of the shoe so my heel and achellies tendon doesn't move and create a blister? I defenetly dont want to put these shoes to waste there brand new...

Theres these things you can buy at a pharmacy, I think their just called blister pads. They are like little rubber circles that you put on. Use those with a combination of band-aids and duct tape to stop them from coming off while you're skating. It doesn't work perfect but it helps.

Yeah I agree with the duct tape, I've used it before and works wonderfully.

wear the shoe in a little more, not skating, just walking around, so it softens up and start wearing thicker socks i guess....

I got two pairs of blazers and I get the same thing when I walk long distances in the older pair. I think the plastic heel support thing is a little bended so when I bend it back to shape it helps a little but they're back like they used to in no time. I just skate the pair now so I don't really have any complaints since they skate great.
