Playing Last of Us 2, Blair Witch, and the new Spongebob Rehydrated game with the girlfriend.
[close]
How are Blair Witch and Spongebob? My wife and I really want to play both.

Also, to contribute, I've been playing Pokemon Yellow and Ocarina of Time on my DS. I've played both countless times over, but they're still great fun start to finish.

Haven’t gotten too far into Blair Witch yet to form a full opinion, I’ll have to come back to say, but spongebob is a fun little game. I’d say it’s more of a remaster than remake because there isn’t anything new beyond the visuals. They really nailed the look though, super colorful eye candy. Something to just mess around together with, not so serious.

I never played that Spongebob game when it came out but I honestly  kinda wanna buy the remaster just because I think 3D platformers like that are really fun.

Word. That's what I was hoping for re: Spongebob. I didn't expect anything I hadn't seen before, but I loved that game as a kid so I'm excited to relive that with her. Thanks for the info!

Yea for sure, and it’s also not a $60 game so that helps too

I blow ass at it, but I started playing Halo 2 from the Master Chief Collection on PC.  Haven't been this hooked on a game in forever.  Probably since Halo 3.

best one.
Fond memories of playing this on the hardest difficulty.
Crazy how calculated you have to become with your strategy.

Just started Luigi's Mansion 3
Not sure what the payoff is for collecting money but it's a cool game.

been splitting my time between "among trees" and "banished".  both games balance chill with challenge beautifully.

These both look cool but look like they would get old kinda quick has that been the case for you?

at the end of the day they are def both "chill" games so by definition they are a little repetitive and self sustaining once you get into the flow of the game so if you get bored of games easily i wouldn't recommend them.

banished has a really hard curve and a lot of depth so i got/am getting a lot of hours out of it.  my most played game on steam is Cities; Skylines and there are a lot of planning similarities between the two to make cool looking towns and use different environmental features to get different visual effects (right now im way into making plazas on hills). its also a pick up/drop game so ill walk away from it for a while, and then come back to it after, i get over whatever AAA im playing or in between releases and it will feel new again.

among trees is early access.  i ran out of stuff to do about 7/8 hours in, but i only paid 7 bucks for it because the epic store seems to love the consumer and i for sure got my monies worth. its nto the most epic 120 hour adventure you will ever have but its a game that you will say "oh thats nice" a lot while you play.
more heaven-cruise than hell-ride.

Bioshock Infinite is surprisingly good, imo. Tried playing BS2 not too long ago and just couldn't get into it even after beating the first installment.
Also, Pokemon Yellow is still the best of the first gen games, imo.

I think infinite might be my favorite. First is great. I also didn’t finish the second though... I just love the brightness and worlds fair thing. Also how quick it moves. Still looks good but if they remastered it I’ll replay it again for sure.

I agree. The brightly colored environment mixed with how fast paced everything feels makes for a great immersive experience.
I wonder if there will ever be another installment.

5 hours into Mafia 3 and I'm thinking about dropping it, I can see now why so many people disliked it.

I only got it because it came with Mafia Remastered for only an extra $10, so I figured why not. I have no idea how you managed to finish it though, it was kinda fun for a bit but not a whole game's worth of doing the same thing over and over again.

On a positive note though, the soundtrack is amazing.

Deus ex Mankind Divided.. again...

It's amazing I'm about to cry. Sure, C77 will probably be great but not as good as this.

Fanbases get very angry when things don't go their way.
There's also a looooot of LGBTQ representation which people automatically hate.

I sold smash ultimate cause I don't care about it anymore and the online play is too aggravating.

I've been going through little big planet 2 since I didn't when it was popular

Haven't had time to play anything but reminisced about Ninja Hattori-Kun this morning. Recall it being difficult and confusing without translated instructions or a guide. I never finished it but it seems hard to get back to most of the 1983-1986 8-bit releases.

I recently had enough free time to play through The resident evil 3 remake. Pretty boring.

Its very fun. silly, interesting, crazy glitches that make some cool gameplay and level breaking jumps if you like doing crazy stuff in games.

Donkey Kong Country is on SNES virtual console now. Spent about an hour playing it last night and it's still one of the best games from that console era.

Man eater. My nephew is shark raving mad.
He's pretty good but when I start playing. He's screaming and jumping on the back of the couch.

It like when my dad showed us the WWF for the first time in the 80s.

I have probably said it before but DO NOT sleep on DK Tropical Freeze anyone!

Its just as good if not better. Also DK Country 2 is amazing. Sorry haha I just love Donkey Kong. They are all great.

I still have this sealed in my closet. I didn't really dig the first one, but picked it up because of the consistent 10/10 reviews, but the fan base seems to hate it due to story line. Target gave me a deal at $43 with some coupon. Worth it? I'm typically into open world games (e.g. Witcher, BotW, RDR2, GTA).

Going off of os89, the DK games on the Wii and Wii U are gems.
In the yell at the TV and sometimes rage quit for not being precise with timing, kind of gem.

Day 2 of this. Pretty funny and visually pleasing.
