i think cab was the first one todo one above the coping in a pool and land, but i've got it the back of my head that either alan gefland, or one of the other florida dudes may have done fakie 360s and popped out in a vertless bowl .

According to an interview with Salba in the skateboard mag I randomly saw while shitting over the weekend, he and Duane Peters were the first ones doing them, and Micke Alba had them the best before Cab.

But old pool guys lie. So who knows...
Are you a kook? If you would say this, the answer is “YES”

that sounds right to me, but i do recall they weren't done right in some way.  below the coping, or slid part way.  i think duane invented the fakie 360 rock n roll, so that's the likely connection.  i've got a video of a contest from the very early 80s at kona on the ramp with like 3 feet of vert.  cab's there and he does one perfect, like 3 feet out.  some blender footage too.  sick lien airs and a "hand out?".

You're thinking of the old Skateboarder interview with Gelfand and McGill. I think it was just a fakie 360, but I definitely remember him hitting coping.
