Fucking mac
« on: April 26, 2008, 05:26:38 PM »
My itunes is fucked but I know how to fix it, I think I need to reset my keychain so I can reset the root password/cetificate.

But I can't find my keychain access. Did I delete it and if I did where can I download, every download I have tried is bullshit.

My itunes always says error (-9813, or I think -98103)

If you're running Leopard, it should be here:
(Finder)
Go>Utilities>Keychain Access

If you're running an older version of OSX, the Utilities folder may be in your Applications folder.

There's no such thing as a root password on OS X, you can temporarily have root privileges but a root password doesn't exist. Are you talking about an Admin password? Most likely, you can reset that if you have the original discs that came with your computer, boot up with the first restore disc in the computer and hold down the letter C, this will start from the cd, when a screen pops up, go to the top menu choose Utilities > Password Reset Utility. This is where you can reset your password. A keychain is something that holds all your passwords stored on your machine, this may need to be reset but I don't know how that would affect your iTunes.

The error is a result of the root certificate. If he resets it, he'll get a new one.

It's popping up in iTunes because of iTune's online store and all of the encrypted stuff going back and forth from the mother ship.

Bax, you got that shit working man?

You shouldn't need your restore discs to reset your keychain preferences, are you doing a clean restore of your system?

Don't mean to take away from your thread, but I need help with a mac as well....

I just got one 2 days ago, and I was wondering how do you go to your cookies on "safari". And on Firefox, it won't let me see any of the help, tools, or history buttons. How do you view these?

Thanks.
The answer is Dutch Masters, you fat fucking catastrophe.

On Safari go to:
Safari
Preferences
Security
you'll see "show cookies"

I haven't used Firefox as much.

Firefox:
Open it, then click on Firefox>Preferences>Privacy> and then you'll see a button that will show you all of your cookies (above settings).

Open Safari by clicking on the compass in the bar. Along the very top menu bar you'll see the
apple logo>Safari>File>Edit>View>History, etc.
In the pop down menu under Safari you'll see Preferences. Click to open. It opens a small window. Across the top is:
General>Appearance>Bookmarks>Tabs>RSS>Autofill>Security>Advanced. Click on Security and you'll see the cookies settings.

Prefs for FireFox are in the same place as Clarkie described for Firefox... open FureFox, then click FireFox up on the top, to the left of File.
