Picked up one of these Jason Adams prints of Jim T, Jim is my hero so it was a no brainer

Finished my whiskey buying for the year. Ended up with a Stagg and a Weller from btac, pappy 15, old rip VW 10, high west midsummer nights dram, and slaughterhouse from splinter group. Not my best haul but should make for happy holiday season.

About to go to Chicago for the week, so I spent a few bucks getting ready for the change in climate.

Some Patagonia Capilene "Baselayer" (Basically some semi-form-fitting polyester long underwear)

Some dumbass gloves with the touch screen finger things that don't work.

And some o' deez.

I'm a little surprised, Marmot stuff is usually top notch

It's not that my fingers don't register on the screen. It's just difficult to type with any kind of accuracy, which renders it slightly less useful. I over-exaggerated. I'm still happy with the purchase.

i got a nice pair of gloves very similar to those a few years ago and had the same issue with typing. i lost them in a matter of weeks too. last year i bought a pair at target that were slightly better. they were just those typical cheap knit gloves but the thumb and index finger had some coating on them that made them register on the screen. they weren't amazing, but a hell of a lot better than the first pair i got. i think they were like $4. worth checking out if you dont like those marmots.

sick matthias, enjoy it! i got my T2 earlier this year and it's all i've been carrying around lately. really great camera.

i found a little 13" toshiba tv/vcr combo at the thrift store for $20. color settings were fucked at first, so i had to ebay the remote to access the menu. after adjustments the picture looks great. i'm stoked to finally revisit my skate VHS collection. also grabbed this northern co. nate broussard deck last week.

got a pair of classic black chuck taylors at marshells for $30 last night. theyre not the skate branded ones, but i think theyre the same as the skate ones, maybe minus the luneron insoles. theyve got the padded tongue and padding on the sides. the insoles are glued in but theyve got cushion to them unlike the regular chucks which are just hard rubber with some canvas over it. they feel like walking on pillows compared to regular chucks.

my 80mm broke and it took me 6 months to get a replacement. 240 euros for a lens is not much, especially in a perfect mechanical and body condition. the glass seems to be a tiny tiny bit milky   ... let's hope that the image quality is allright. already shot a tmax with it, let's see how an ektar turns out.

Pretty happy with both.
How do you think those wheels will skate? 97 mm for my cruiser. and does anyone know if they're from the original 90s company, or the capital/nicotine revival in like 2003? The later one I'm guessing, but still cool cause they sponsored some local guys when I was younger.

Dammit.  I had that on VHS as a kid.  I lent it to some dude and never saw it again.  I bought it when it first came out.  My cover was like a matte black paper material.  It just had a window cut out so the title on the actual tape showed through.

man, ive had a real itch to get a guitar or a bass and try to learn it lately. i taught myself drums over a summer when i was younger and played in a band for a while. i was pretty awful but it was still really fun. i live in an apartment now and cant have drums, but ive been really wanting to play something. just dont have the money to buy anything right now.

Go to a pawn shop near a college. They always have decent musical gear for good prices because college kids need to buy drugs. Or craigslist, just don't get murdered. Or do get murdered. You can do whatever you want.

Check guitar centers used shit too. I hate that fucking place but I got a really awesome deal on that and it's basically brand new. The film over the pick guard wasn't even peeled off.

grabbed this odd board game from 1970 at  my local thrift store for 50 cents. turns out it is one of the most controversial games made and a pretty rare find. the ones listed on ebay and amazon are in the $100-200 range. i think i'm going to hang on to it.

Mouth that's really cool. I'm not into Akira or anything, I only saw it once, but that's a cool thing to collect. I think maybe because you can tell it's a real obsession.
