I have my short story final and I only have to turn in a story, no test, so I get to go late.

yeah or if you spray paint them with cheap shit paint and it cracks and falls off instead of being like a fake slick skin

How ever, new board some Cliche red line thing with fibre glass or something in it, i've had a shit load of them and loved them all and some Spitty classic in 54, the truck are a about 4-6 weeks old so don't need new ones

Ohh and some ebay Circa Appleyards in beige hi-top which are actually fucking great
...can't believe this thread brought Donnie Murdo out of the woodwork!

considering over 75% of the industry uses heat transfers now, must be hard to find anyone that doesnt have em.
powell is the only one that comes to mind.

depends on who was doing them.
the china ones flake off badly, ive seen some deluxe and alien habitat ones that looked good.
girl/chocolate seem to be the worst offenders.

the specific offender im referring to is a Stereo deck, but yeah, i had a chocolate that did it just as bad, if not worse.  it's really sorta an aesthetic thing for me, it just looks like crap and you get the flakes all over you hands

i've never had a problem with the Alien/Habitat decks

bad heat transfers flake off like that. i had an Unbeleivers do that to me the first day i set it up. some of the Stereo graphics are silk screened, i think the team decks and price points are heat transfered. Alien and Habitat have always (in my experiance) had great quality control and the graphics stay on.

nothing beats a silk screened board though, they slide the best.

I was wondering because the last twelve or so boards I've had have been either Alien or Habitat and I can't remember the shit flaking off.

this stereo deck is a pro-model......

Alien/Habitat are the best decks by far, i've gone years with only riding their decks, and then i get to the point where i feel like i should try something else, and when i do i'm always disappointed

is it one of the newer ones? what are the graphics?

i agree, the boards are top notch. been stoked on the Stereo boards though. you just can't beat PS Stix boards.

that sucks. they must have stopped doing the silk screen with the new stuff. the last batch of boards they put out were silk screened.

Just to clarify i meant that alien/habitat boards were good about not flaking or having crappy heat trasfers. last bad one i had was a old element natas, the panther deck.

Word.  I hate heat transfers, but it seems like they're alot easier to use and you can have millions of colors.

girl/chocolate seem to be the worst offenders.

definatly, ive had a friend literally pick off big chips of paint off his girl deck (mariano street pirate deck if it matters) until it became a blank just because he was tired of it flaking all over his clothes and hands.

haha remember the element 7 deadly sins boards? that was the only deck i had that i really remember the paint flaking off uncontrollably. i'm not even gonna lie, i was so psyched on element back then. could have been because i was young, but some of my favorite skateboarders right now rode for them (o'connor, pluhowski), plus barley..

i had an anti her board once that was black with the eagle in grey, and it flaked off to reveal a different graphic underneath, i could never be bothered to sit and pick it all off to find out what it was though
