Yeah it's on Disney+ and Hulu I believe.

There are so many great episodes it is hard to pick a fav. I don't even like dogs but the dog-dancing one always gets me for some reason.

This Cotton quote I cannot get out of my head and stop chuckling at either:

I love that Cotton/Kahn are voiced by the guy who played Artie the Strongest Man In the World on Pete and Pete

I was thinking about the ep where the monks think Bobby might be the reincarted lama and how he sees Connie’s reflection in the mirror of objects before him and that’s what he picks.

Pound for Pound - KOTH is the best animated series.   The Simpsons is the best, but at this point about as twice as many bad seasons as good/transcendent

Haha damn I wasn't sure that was Huf. Needed some confirmation. He is definitely one of the 3 approved people to be talking about ollies like that. Other 2 being Kien "Donger" Lieu and Reese Forbes.

Yeah he was also hilarious on Reno 911 and maybe most known as The Wiz from Seinfeld.

We might need to make a separate KOTH appreciation thread. I obviously love The Simpsons too since I have the most minor character, Benevenstanciano, the newsstand/magazine salesman as my avatar. Purely picked because of how hard it makes me laugh hearing Marge say his 110% Italian name.

To borrow a cringey phrase from today's youth though, KOTH just hits different. It's so much more relatable, human and devoid of wacky cartoon antics and unrealistic things. From the very conservative Texas morals, to Bobby as the perfect foil, to Peggy the easy to hate character that I end up relating to the most in the end since we both think we are a lot smarter than we really are and try to take full control of things. I also find it commendable that John Redcorn was voiced by real Indigenous men and they didn't make his character into some offensive stereotype and tackled some of the hard issues around Native people pretty early on compared to most media of the time.

It almost feels like Mike Judge can't miss, but his work has always been misunderstood, like Beavis and Butthead, or criminally underrated like King of The Hill was. A lot of his stuff ages very well too. Idiocracy is probably more appreciated now than ever before. Office Space, probably wasn't very popular on release but grew into a cult classic. Silicon Valley was pretty good too but I have not seen The Goode Family which I just stumbled upon while doing some soft research for this pointless annoying post.

Tales from the Tour Bus is fucking amazing too....

Koth is great. There's always stories that they're going to do a reboot which I think would be a mistake. (And not just in the usual way everyone always thinks reboots are mistakes) I think as accepting as hank is the complainer crowd would still have a massive problem with him these days.
Is there any modern comparison? Bob's burgers?

@Steely Daniel i loved office Space. There’s a supposed deleted scene Milton shows up to where they work with a gun and implies that he kills Lumberg? Guess it gives this context “you guys go to Lumberg’s funeral?”. Glad they kept the original though…

And Idiocracy is scarily accurate these days… I’m down for a KOTH/ Mike Judge apreesh thread.

Peggy gets better and better with each watching as you realize what an insane ego/opinion she has of herself.   Once they tapped into that, she’s one of my favorite characters

KOTH is hard to pull off these days bc how do you really have Hank exist in modern Texas/politics?   Hank before liked Ann Richards and felt a way about George W’s weak handshake, but it never got any deeper into capital P Politics other than that.

Also, at its heart, it was a show about Hank and Bobby and they wrapped that storyline nicely in the final episode (streaming eps are out of order, but it’s the one where Bobby is a meat cut naming prodigy).

Recently the government put out a new guidelines on how many alcoholic beverages someone should consume per week for optimal health or whatever. Buddy was not havin it. He lives in the city over from me and reflects the stereotype of that city.

these guys are probably on slap but their reviews and interviews crack me up. i don't agree with it all, dude roast billy pepper, eric pupecki [think he calls him poopdecky or something?] but he's got a clear vision of what he's into [menace, world in that era followed by east coast later]. i never heard of doa decks but i guess was a company for a while but the riders were shit, wearing their shirts inside out etc. dude's delivery reminds me of heath kirchart describing jerry fowler telling him about el toro.
"jerry was a ledge skater. he told me he tried to noseslide el toro without a filmer and i was like..... that's a lie."

I fell like this has to be a joke. At the same time, I feel like it's not a joke...

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

The information below was taken from BBS woodshop's website
http://bbsmfg.com/frequently-asked-questions/

What does BBS stand for?

We tell people that BBS doesn’t stand for anything, and that it’s just BBS, or that it’s an acronym for whatever comes to mind, but of course it does stand for something, just something that doesn’t have the same meaning today as it was intended to have.

BBS stands for Bare Back Skateboards, which started as a Longboard Brand in 1996. The original skateboard that we made, and the idea behind the name, was a skateboard that you rode barefoot, and without grip tape. This was all around the time that the internet was just getting started. Within a few years, the internet had exploded, and the Porn Industry cornered the term Bareback. When anyone tried to search up our Skateboard Company, they would get bombarded with Porn Pop Ups and Computer Viruses. By the early 2000’s we had abandoned running the Longboard Brand in favor of OEM Manufacturing, so we dropped Bare Back Skateboards to just BBS.

So, if anyone asks, it’s just “BBS”.
