my friend and i were talking last night about starting up a little local skate company... i have screen printers available for decks and tees, but im not sure what the best way to source blank decks would be.  i want made in the u.s., and small minimums, if possible.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

most woodshops won't sell loads of blanks to random people.
You're better off getting them to just print them and shrink wrap.
you can get us made boards for 16-18+ shipping  depending on who you use and how many you get made.
selling boards is a lot of work but can be fun.
get ready to get shut down by shops though. it's hard enough selling some off plan b board let alone a strange brand noone has ever heard of. make your logo simple and the name simpler.
good luck.

Not knocking on any of the other companies listed, but Chapman makes some great decks... our shop boards are Chapman, and Nate Nola uses them for his New Orleans-based board project (I don't know if Nate would refer to it as a company, but either way they're fucking dope).

Does anyone know how to contact Bareback/Generator and also what they're like for minimums? Do they work with small companies?

Cool? Cool.

Generator does the boards for the shop I work at Im pretty sure, really good stuff. Most of these companies will send you a few samples if: a. you are serious and have some information for them, b. you are willing to pay 10-12 bucks per sample blank or at least the shipping. Only bad name that I can think of is Natural but thats more of a personal preference thing, none of their boards are longer than 31.5, even the 8s.
