Great turnout... I wish I could have skated but the ankle is still blown out... lots of heads were killing it though. It seriously was a utopian-esque skate community get together. The kind of shit that just gets you hyped on being a skater.
His brother must feel like shit.
He definitely misses his brother, but he's one of the main guys that set up the event. Big Mike's passing was because of a freak accident, so he has no reason to hold the burden of his brother's passing. He's been using his brother's death to help get the skate community to bond more... it's hard to explain, but if you were here or around him (or the locals), you'd see what I mean.
I'll have the photos I took up in a little bit, and a few other heads are sending me pics as well... there was such a great feeling at the park yesterday that there's really no way to explain it. It was really sick to see everyone interacting and skating together... yesterday pretty much defined Big Mike's influence on our scene.
