adobe premiere pro

Hey guys,

Need some help. Eversince I upgraded my Premiere 6.0 to Pro, it won't let me export my projects in proper size and quality.
I admit that I haven't worked with the program in ages and my problem is most probably a very basic one.
So here's the thing:

When I export my projects, the huge black frames from the cutting window, or whatever it's called, don't dissappear, which I find annoying. Most likely it's a very simple thing to change it, but I'm confused and couldn't figure it out the whole day.
It'd be awesome if anyone could help me.

I have 7.0, so it may be different, but...
Start a new project, or remove all the video files from your current one. For whatever reason, the changes you make only apply to clips imported after you change your settings.
Up at the top, click on project > project settings > general
In the "video" box, check the box that says "Scale clips to project dimensions..."
Import the clips again and they should be the right size.
Hope it helps.
