Not stoked on switch flips. Every time I think I couldn’t possibly get closer to landing one without actually rolling away, I end up on some new level of close. First I could flip it really well and I thought, all I need to do now is put my feet on it. Then for a long time I could always flip it perfect and land it with my back foot, just gotta put the front foot on now. Now i can flip it perfect and land with either foot, just gotta put both feet on at once. When I try to focus on keeping my shoulders perfect and bringing both feet back, I mess up the flick or the pop. I don’t remember regular kickflips being near this hard to learn
It's the same as regs practice do a switch Ollie do a switch flip. Over and over.
I have an issue with flicking them so hard that they bone out really nicely, way nicer than my kickflips.
My foot is way out like Bruce Leroy but my shoulders opened up land one foot off. Front foot.
It's definitely because in the 90s I fucked with switch fs flip first. I only had the scoop switch 80 to turn around in my bag for a long long time.
Sw fs flip seemed logical as a next trick.
I have
If you're landing on half flips your not jumping high enough or flipping it in the right spot.
This graphic is telling me to do switch flip switch heel and switch one foot. I Ollie sliding my foot from the bubbles through the bolts towards the finger i flick off in the areas around the fingers.
Having switch Ollie over sewer caps and flat gaps going downhill is a big help
