I’m having serious problems. I worked for someone and I need those records. They just won’t give them up or they don’t have them. Housing needs these datesto be to renew my lease.
I’m getting set’s around the thought of being homeless again. I fucking hate being crazy

Sorry to hear about your predicament. Were you working under the table, or did you give them your social security number when filling out the employment paperwork?

My dog had to have 3 fangs pulled today. Word of warning, DONT GIVE YOUR DOG BONES OR ANTLERS TO CHEW! Gave him a peanut butter bone and he ended up breaking 3 teeth and now I’m out 2k from that little lesson.
Neither of us are stoked on this.

It feels so condescending and dismissive whenever I hear it used.

Both the Shmeatpuller and muddragger are in my hometown and its bummer to see some friends hyped on them being here...
I've brought the meat pulling incident up to a few of them a while ago but it was dismissed by some avoidant statements.

For sure. A while ago I was part of a local group chat. When I got news that he was coming to town, I let the host know of his meat pulling behavior…it was met with some bullshit avoidant response. Another local chimed in with “so what Cole beat his wife, he’s still a dope skater” …after that I was out of that chat and have since kept my distance from that group of individuals

Just learned that on June 19th the factory I’m working for is shutting down for good. Been there ten years, good salary and loved my job.

Fuckin’ bummed about this.

That's fucking awful man, I worry about it at my company too. We're a little slow right now and it's making me really paranoid. I'd have a really rough time finding another place that will give me the pay and benefits I'm making here.

Business had been slowing down for the past 2-3 years after historical sales during Covid, then everything went downhill real fast. The company had been around for over 80 years.

I had just gotten my 5 weeks of paid vacation and was about to get my yearly raise. Loved my colleagues and after ten years, I was pretty set in my routine. Now I have to start all over.

My girlfriend and I were just about to book a trip to Portugal, too.

My cat Taco passed away. She had some type of episode in the night. I heard her calling me this morning. I went out there and she couldn’t barely move.
I called the vet and I went they told me she’s 21. Outs time to say goodbye. I started crying. Every other cat all 4 of them I just comforted them in their dying. This is the first time I put an animal to sleep. I feel like the worst person about it.
It’s extra fucked up because I’m having issues with my housing. My rent is way up while I’m waiting for it to catch up with my income change. I said Godt forbid my cat gets sick and less than 24 hours later she’s gone.

I think I’m having a stroke around it. I’ve had this headache for days and now it’s consuming me.

Anyway rip Chocolate aka  Chocotaco but most commonly known as Taco.

I wanna go to the hospital but I can’t. I have to somehow get my rent up by Monday. Idk what to do at all. This is horrendous

I need help

I just saw this TikTok about a buncha rich Seattle NIMBYs who didn't wanna hear medical helicopters in their area, so they got on the hospital council to make them drive the last mile in an ambulance. Sometimes it's hard to believe the fucked-up shit that rich people do.

I remember like 10 years ago, Venice residents were complaining about the homelessness problem that was growing. My boss' wife sat on the Venice Council and they fought tooth-and-nail to get approval for plans for low-income/homeless housing. In theory, they had a location and concept in play, but NIMBYs came and blocked it at every turn. Their solution? Build the housing in Riverside and send them there. Then once they killed the program to build the low-income/homeless housing, they'd still come to council meetings to complain about nothing being done about the homeless population.

They saw ZERO irony in all of it.

Man you guys wanna hear something crazy

So Thursday afternoon I randomly check my superannuation balance - I think I had suspicion haha
Anyway the guy I been doing a bit of work for when not have own work he hasn’t paid any of my superannuation. Been helping him out off and on around 2 years.

So I rang him up went apeshit and he’s like yea sorry bro I haven’t paid any and I can’t tonight, no money best can do is pay it all in 2 months.

Told him to stick that up his arse and I went and collected my tools the next morning.

I report him to tax office. Will take maybe 3 weeks but they calculate everything plus interest and they pay me direct and send him bill. Much easier that way. I done this before. I cbf working out what I’m owed and I’ll be fucked if he calculates it for me. We get third party, very good.

There was another tiler that would work here too but leave few months ago. I called him and he’s like bro that guy owes me soo much money. I’m like cunt why you not tell me! He owe everybody you idiot!

Anyway this is where gets crazy

He’s got this labourer an Indian bloke. I don’t really like him anyway. He’s a bigot, hates gays and you can tell he thinks cleaning my tools and carrying all the tiles around for us is beneath him. I get that little cunt moving hey.

But I checked the visas you can get and whilst you could come here and work legally as a skilled tradesperson, you can’t come here and work full time as a labourer.

I didn’t report him to border security because that would be psychotic. However, the tax office will audit old boss company now…old boss already told me couple weeks ago like man he’s gotta be an illegal hey. He have obviously dodgy Australian business number, he pay 200 week for rental car that maybe worth 3k? Why pay $10400 a year for a car worth $3000? Because cannot register car I think.

Well it’s not my fucken fault when the cunt gets deported for overstaying his visa or working on a tourist visa. It’s the boss fault man cause if he pay my superannuation like supposed to then this never happen

Pretty funny tho. That guy I was working for is a fucking MORON

listen to cosmic psychos

Worst part of being a pet owner is when it comes time to play god. You wish they could tell you how they feel but have to trust yourself to make the right decision. Always wondering what you could have done differently. Regretting every time you were irritated around them, wishing you could play one more time. But in there eyes it was always enough. That's unconditional love but it's not fleeting. They are always with you, just out the corner of your eye and in our hearts.

I’ve had to do it with one dog. She had lymphoma and responded to chemo for 2 years, then it stopped working and she went downhill fast. It was fucking awful watching her go from full of energy and happiness to listless, not wanting food and being unable to go for even short walks without vomiting. We scheduled a tech to come put her down at our house but ended up getting them to come a day after I made the original appointment for 2 weeks. I spent 2 days crying almost all night beforehand but I knew it was the right thing since she was in horrible shape. She’d lost almost 40 pounds, wouldn’t take hamburgers(her absolute favorite), didn’t want to even go for an even walk up the block and just going into the closet to be alone. It sucked but at least she wasn’t suffering any longer and I got to hold her as she left.

Love you Maya.
I made my wife and son promise that when I go they’ll mix our ashes and stick us under a tree.

@Unkle Fleak @Plan9Customs Thinking of you, pals. I know from experience that knowing this doesn't make it any easier, but you both did the right thing.

Regretting every time you were irritated around them

Boy, did this one hit home this morning. I snapped at my dog on a walk last July because he was taking forever and I was in a rush. A week later he was gone, it turned out he had super advanced spinal cord cancer. He didn't take so long because he was being a dick, he took so long because fucking cancer had eaten through this spine. I don't usually dwell on the past much but I just can't shake this one.
