The simpsons and people who still watch new episodes. Anything past season 7 really.
[close]

I feel like up to season ten still has pretty funny stuff. Maybe even season 12. But who even still watches it? I can't imagine kids giving a shit and old people would have to get nothing out of it now.
There's so much adult animation now and it all kind of sucks.
I still watch them. I don't expect anything to stay the same or else it would be stagnant. If I want to watch old episodes, I have all of them cataloged on a harddrive. I would have actually lost interest if they tried to keep to a formula instead of maturing and progressing.

That's cool but for those same reasons are why I generally prefer British style television over american. Instead of making a million episodes of The Simpsons or big bang or the office etc they will make 4-12 episodes of a show then work on another project so it doesn't really get stale.
I think the longest running British sitcom is peep show and it's 9 seasons of six episodes each made over something like 14 years.

I'm really sorry you're going through such a terrible situation. Don't even want to imagine what that's like. I know your dear friend wouldn't want you to suffer beyond grief because of his passing and he would want you to bounce back after mourning. I hope you can find your way and go back to making your friend proud.

Watched squid game the other week it was mostly fine.

Now I can't look at anything without people going on about it. I swear it's all just dumb people thinking they are now somehow smart because they watched something foreign (even tho it's a show a 6 year old could understand)

Well that's another thing in not stoked on. Netflix and the way they make shows.

Basically they put the most effort into the first episode have an ok second and then then the third episode is the next best.
They know once people are three eps in they will just click continue watching rather than dealing with the menu for 45 mins looking for something else.

That's not my theory or anything either several people who have made shows for Netflix have said that's how it works on podcasts etc

Nah I believe that for sure mate, they would pitch shows and the pilot or whatever they call it, that’s the banger to get the money off the network

I feel like heaps of shows fucked me like this, but all I can think of right now are lost and mr robot

There’s a reason I don’t watch the shit

used a loud ass leaf blower the other day, quickly realized it was too loud and put in plugs but it caused my tinnitus to flare up. i guess i have to be super careful around anything noisy.

meanwhile my buddy used it all day without plugs and was just fine. tinnitus is cruel...

tinnitus sucks, broheim. for me, it gets gnarly when I run any small engine without ear protection. Shooting my guns without 2x ear protection, ayyeeee, ears are screaming for days. At least for me it was unbearable the first 6 months and hasn't really gotten that bad again over the past couple years.

it always sounds like a bad electrical connection for me. you know what I mean?

Dropped my phone in the toilet just when I was about to piss. Blew on it to dry it and got nasty sprinkles all over my face. Was also uncomfortable to hold piss mid wiener while grabbing the phone. Now the audio cuts off every few seconds

picked my younger sister up from work on Tuesday and got some food. Wednesday she tested positive for COVID :( Luckily we are both vaccinated and she is almost asymptomatic but it's an annoying sitch because I am stuck waiting to find out if I caught it or not.

Cancelled all the plans I had over the next few days and I am getting tested tomorrow

Felt like shit on Wednesday. Sore throat, bit of a cough and stuffed sinuses. Got tested for Covid right away, came back negative. I’m double vax’d, don’t worry. No fever or aches though, so that’s good.

Either my allergies are going nuts from all the dead leaves on the ground everywhere, or I might have a Man Cold brewing. A few of my colleagues and friends have had colds lately.
