...in their products, tours, interviews, etc. but what about roman catholics? guy mariano has had plenty of decks with either the virgin mary or rosemary beads. what are your thoughts?

I wasn't aware that Guy was Evangelical. If he is, he's not doing a very good job of it, so I hope he keeps doing what he's doing.

i really like mexican/catholic imagery.  its not a religious statement for me, i just like the art work.

This is true, I know a lot of people who want nothing to with religion yet display artistic pieces of various sorts with similar imagery, maybe because it is such a popular subject of South American folk art.  In Guy's case though I would assume he is Catholic, but I feel like the boards are done in good taste and serve a purpose beyond just religious imagery.  Also like everyone said he is not trying to preach his beliefs left and right.

yea i was in the local shop the other day and almost bought that 8.0 one with the golden background but decided to hold off on buyin a fresh deck until the shop's gettin Deathwish boards in week or two.

yup. thats all there is to it really. some of the imagery, especially renaissance period art, of the faith is so sick. from just an art point of view it's amazing. i guess i just get bummed when anyone tells me what i should think, and guy never does that.

hahah, i think the funniest ad i've ever seen is for 'untitled skateboards'... from what i remember, the top is full of bible verses and the guy is doing a casper on a log IN THE FUCKING WOODS. if anyone could find that and post it up.. that would be magical
