« on: May 12, 2008, 01:02:26 PM »
alright. i have adobe premire pro. i've only tampered with raw footage for my friends because i haven't quite figured it out yet. so anyways, i was throwing something together for my friend today and i got bored so i started clicking around, everything disapeared and now whenever i open any of my recent projects it's just a blank page. does anyone know how i canmake it back to how it was whe i first got it?

Maybe try: Window - Workspace - Editing

You should be able to make every single Element appear in the Window Section anyways. Just click on everything (Effects, Monitor Project ..) and you should see it.

This might not cheer you up, but I had a similar poblem with adobe premiere 6.0. I blamed it on the cracked version and slow computer and just edited everything in one session, without ever saving.  But that can be sooo frustrating as you most likely know.

i tryed that and it will not work. whenever i click timeline it pops up but it will not let me drag any of the clips into it to edit.

Are you dragging clips form your internal Premiere library (clips you've already imported), or are your layers locked?

well most the time i just come home from a day of filming and upload everything in my friend's project and then just export it. if he get's a clip i drag it down and add it to his footage. but whenever this happend i was bored, trying to throw together an intro for him. well i was looking around for shit you know? just clicking around and shit and i just ended up closing all the pannels. did that answer your question?

Yeah man, do what Say Hi said... click on Window, the click AB Editing. That should open up all the windows you're used to.
Just be sure to drag all of your clips into the library (by default, it will be on your left-top corner with a file called "Bin" or "Bin 1").

Drag your clips there, as you can't drag clips directly to the timeline (which should appear across the bottom once you do the Window>AB Editing thing).

Let us know if this resolves the problem man.

Are there any windows minimized in the lower left hand of Premiere's screen (assuming you're on a pc)?

Do you still have the installation file? You might want to reinstall it and then let it check for updates.
