I enjoy pussy, titties, being a raging alcoholic, long walks on the beach, giraffes, talking more shit than is possible, lots of cigerettes, tranny trogging, jacking off, vanilla scent candles, very high black socks, animals in general, puking at the end of the night, the band BRAND NEW as gay as that is, walking around in creeks lookin' for critters, hamburgers, vanilla coke, watching Thrasher videos, bombing hills, falling down those hills, ingrown toenails, picking my nose if I got boogies, Michael Jackson's Number Ones CD, Louisville skatepark, Grove city skatepark, driving around for no reason at all, and fucking girls and never talking to them again.

well done, you're a total fucking walking cliche, right down to the socks.
There is nothing, I MEAN NOTHING, wrong with high black socks.

Well, Chocolate Workshop B you need to state that, in a Shekler thread...I don't think McCrank would be gang bangin it up if it wasn't for skateboarding.  Does he look ruthless to you, he skated to LeTigre, there's know way he's gangster

So Lance, you're trying to tell me Le Tigre isn't gangster? Come on! Girls with moustaches are gangster as fuck.

and despite what mtv leads you to believe, terry kennedy has not, and never did live in compton. if that is where you are getting the "ghetto piss poor" connection from. im sure he didn't live a lavish life, but i doubt he was.... eating out of dumpsters. his mom did have enough money to buy him a skateboard, im sure.

He lived in long beach, which is just as bad as compton.

With all due respect to these young men for becoming professional skatebaorders, there are ways other than skating to get out of poverty.
P.S.  McCrank gets two thumbs way up from me.

He started skateboarding, because he saw evan hernandez on a skateboard one day and said it looked like he was having fun. How is that for the money?
[close]
You should read his TWS am issue interview, he says he skates to get something out of it, he saw people in fresh new gear, so he wanted in on it...

What's wrong with getting money/clothes/whatever, from something that you enjoy?
There's nothing wrong with gettin stuff for doing something you enjoy, that's not the point, he clearly stated that he STARTED skating to get free stuff, and that my friend, is wrong to me...

How did you get into skating?
Called up my boys Evan (Hernandez), Knox (Godoy), and my friend Marcus. I used to go up to Cherry and play basketball at a little basketball court. They used to roll out onto the stage over there. Dudes would be over there skatin' off the stage while I was at a little basketball practice, tryin' to do my thing, you know? "Baby Iverson," that's what they called me back in the day 'cause I had the braids, but nevermind that.
I went to school with Evan. He started skatin' out of nowhere and I was like, "Damn." I saw him up there (at the stage) over the summer and was like, "What you been up to? Damn, for real?" I kept goin' up there and seein' him, and I was like, "F-k!" I was gettin' over basketball 'cause they never started me. Marcus was like, "You should start skatin'." Knox was actually the first person to hook me up with some shit. He used to hook up Evan and Marcus back in the day, too. Started skatin' in some Globes-those were my first skate shoes. I had a Birdhouse deck with low Ventures. Skatin' a little twig back in the day off the stage, bustin' my pop shove-its, 180s, and shit-low basics.

from the am issue 2004.

Was that the main motivation to start skatboarding, to get something out of it as opposed to o it for fun?

I ain't even gonna front. It was to get something out of it.

he also says: "I just look at it as a job(but at the same time it just fun)"

Sure, he says it's fun, I'm not saying he doesn't like to skate, but someone in the thread said something like "no one starts for money"...

at least he didn't lie. still a kook though. pretty damn good on a skateboard at the same time.

we don't "hate" on shex because of his skating ability (anyone who says he sucks is obviously blind, the dude does have skills).

he is the definition of a kook. there is no other way about it. i don't see how people can't see that.

I'd still rather watch Gino tic-tac around a kid at the skatepark, then anything Shekeles has/had to offer...

i still don't think you can really compare them cause sheckler is just not as good as them...maybe the plan b video will change this but he'll be known as a guy who had a t.v. show...not a guy who pushed the limits of skateboarding....

i wonder though....if sheckler was as good as say...chris cole or something like that...would we hate him more? less?

the thing is... sheckler is about as good the average am these days, just change the clothing and you wouldnt be able to tell him apart from any other up and coming kid, so hating him is kinda easy since he's such a cocky bitch without much reason, if he was actually better he would probably get a little bit more slack.

i haven't read the entire thread but i am a little bit drunk
went through the first page got to this part on page 2
and reading this makes me sad. its horrible to think
that i might be skating with someone one day who just wanted
to get shit out of it. if you want to get anything out of skating
it should be the fun you have skating. i know everyone already
knows that and i'm not saying anything new but this shit is just
fucking depressing. i'm beginning to think the industry is too
far gone for the harm to be undone and i don't think skateboarding
is "going under" anytime soon. this shit is only going to get worse.
so to the dude who said in two or three years i wont care about sheckler,
you are wrong. in two or three years even if sheckler isn't around the
damage that has been done will be.

Sheckler is a douche.  I'm sorry, but I don't like his image/personality nor do I think he crushes on a skateboard.  His shit is mad stock, basically contest tricks done in the street.  I think he talks out of his ass in these interviews, talks shit on real skaters, and then can't understand why people have a problem with him.  I would however bone his mother, take Caine Gayle's sloppy seconds....

i dont understand how he can skate with all the bogus hype. for me skating is about simply dissapearing from everyone else's reality. Some beers, homies, ganja, and shred make for the best combination ever- i like tons of other shit, in fact i'm pretty spasmodic when it comes to staying focused on anything, but nothing is better than getting the fuck away from everyone/thing else and skating. I've always thought that that's the reason why anyone would skate for more than a year. I'd love to make money from skating, working for a solid mag, shooting photos, whatever, but being a pusher just ain't cool.

i remember this quote from his old website that was kind of this: "i want to dominate skateboarding and be the best". that sentence is the main reason why i started to hate him.
