How do "preppy" jeans hold up?
« on: May 22, 2008, 10:11:08 PM »
How do brands like Abercrombie, American Eagle, etc. hold up when you skate in them? They are super cheap on eBay, and I need to buy jeans that can endure alot of stress without spending $80 a pair.

This is easily the gayest question ever asked here.

Fuck that, if I spend more than $20 (usd) for a pair of jeans then I'm just wasting cash. Also, Dickies for $17.

Well, I can do $50 a pair at the mall, or I can do $15-$20 a pair on eBay, but nice one dipshit.

get some knee pads, so you can just do knee slides out of everything.  your jeans will last forever (though you might want to get some bitchin' cargo shorts instead).  a good knee slide is definitely the preferred method for bailing those crook-to-back-lips down handrails.

But at the mall, you get 50% off any men's fragrance with a pair of jeans. But alas, I tried... You don't like women.

cheap is the way to go for pants used for skating...  they are gonna get all sweaty and torn up anyway, so a cheap pair will do the job....

Damn dude! That makes pure economic sense. I'm going to needs TONS of manly "fragrances" for when I am out skating. Spots behind random buildings and ledges downtown are generally where all of the hot bitches like to chill, right?

Go to Sears and go to the Mens department. There you will find Lee regular fit jeans in a large variety of colors and washes. They fit well and are $25.00 a pair. Not only is that a decent price for quality jeans, but you don't look like a yuppie faggot because you're wearing Abercrombie & Fitch carpenter jeans.

Frosting your tips is also not encouraged.

I got caught stealing from them when I was seventeen. That was a shitty experience. If you want good jeans for cheap, hit up Nordstrom Rack.

I always end up ripping the crotch on all my jeans... I think it's cause i get bad swamp ass, and all the acid in my sweat weakens the fabric, and then when I pop stuff and bend down, it tears at the crotch. A good pair of jeans will last me maybe three months.

I usually just go to JC pennies and get levis on sale if I can, but sometimes I still have to pay 30 dollars + for one pair.

I did have one pair of jeans from American Eagle though. Tore the FUCK out of those... first the knee, then the crotch.

I actually go for the Wrangler regular fit jeans from Wal Mart. Sounds lame I know but they're good cheap jeans.

levis never last for me unless they are vintage.  i also cant wear anything with stretch... so that rules out most skate brands.

im probably the only person on here that wears japanese jeans.  of course, if i had to pay for em id be right back to vintage 501 from the thrift store.

This dude's right, but the one by me is all like Sean Jean and crazy huge loose fit Black jeans with white fade, think Wenning's DC Video Jeans but baggier and ghetto'er. With ridiculous pocket designs.
