I just watched Studio 666 and Barbarian. Both were pretty good. Going to see Pearl today.

I know there are a lot of WKUK fans on here like @Buttfart Rapedick - so I wasn’t sure if it was common knowledge Barbarian was written and directed by Zach Cregger

Zach is the cattiest of the kids. His sarcasm and general disdain for humanity helps me sleep at night.

They haven't been posting much on YouTube. Anyone know if they're still aiming for mars to be done in October?

Just watched Carnage starring Christoph Waltz, John C Reilly, Jodie Foster and Kate Winslet.  Awesome hilarious movie that takes place in a single apartment, highly recommend it

I watched that maybe two-three months ago after @Deputy Wendell mentioned it in this thread.
I liked it a lot as well. Stacked cast.

I saw God of Carnage (the play it’s based on) in LA with Gandolfini, Jeff Daniels, Marcia Gay Harden, and Judy Davis in the roles.   Was an amazing experience

Where are you watching Barbarian? Theaters? Streaming? If streaming, which one if you please?

Huge WKUK nerd here, would love to check it out, RIP Trevor Moore.

Got Disney + for our kiddos and didn't realize they have a lot of other good stuff on there. Watched Logan last night, which I haven't seen for a few years, and really enjoyed it. The little girl does an awesome job.

"His House" on Netflix was a pretty good horror film. Based in the UK, story about two African refugees haunted by their actions while escaping war-torn Southern Sudan.

Significant other
Not great but good. A thriller with some horror and a bit of sci fi and slasher. Looks nice, good acting some interesting scenes effects mostly alright. Like 80 mins so no bullshit. Maybe liked it more because I've seen so much bad stuff lately but I think it's prob good either way.

Watched Caveat over the weekend.  Good suspense, fairly mild horror, the ending is a bit lacking to me, but if you're looking for something decent for halloween season you could do worse.

Get hungry on it!

Well, I have great news for you.   The two leads and the director have a new one coming out two Fridays from now: The Banshees of Inisherin

If you want some more Gleeson/MacDonagh goodness check out his short Six Shooter (easily google-able as I recall) or MacDonagh’s brother’s film with him and Don Cheadle “the Guard”.

Also if anyone has links to any professional staging of a Martin McDonagh play, pretty please post them here

Amsterdam was enjoyable and possibly either really great or possibly just good. I had a lot of personal mental distractions and didn't quite follow the whole thing but even with that said it was fantastic from a purely casual viewing sense. Christian bale, Margot, senior, Mike Myers, tenet dude, Shannon, Chris rock, remi, vvitch, and a ton of others all playing a solid role

I saw Kore-Eda's Broker in theatres a little bit ago, thought it was really good, it's like a crime family comedy type of deal, little boy actor hilarious, and the mom was great.

It was the last movie I watched which was a good 10 years ago.  The movie Joaquin Phoenix did with Casey Affleck.  Funny and good.

tangerine
Seen it before but was watching terror train?(can't remember title) on tubi and it was too shit so bailed but couldn't help but notice that it looked pretty on par with a lot of "good" modern movies. Guess you just need some lights and a good camera.
Anyway back to tangerine whole things filmed on an iPhone and looks real good. The pacing is on point. Even tho someone might think they'd be turned off by the subject matter I think any adult could watch it and be entertained.
Why can't people just make skate videos with phones? They made a whole fukn movie.
