Finally saw the northman. Visuals, acting, pacing everything's pretty good. Story not so much so just try not to think about it and it's very enjoyable.

Just thinking about those poor slaves who got their throats slashed because his plan was inefficient. Like I said just don't think about the extras and what characters "should" of done and it's all good.

I had the BEST time taking my viking-obsessed dad to see it in theaters with his Robert Eggers-obsessed son.

Northman and Dune were the best times I've had watching a movie in recent history

@DaleSr I read that Christopher Walken is playing Emperor Shaddam IV in the second Dune installment.

Barbarian was fucking incredible. Absolutely no way to predict what was going to happen.

Halloween 3

If you mean the new Halloween 3, from what I gather it belongs in the Unpopular Opinion thread.  Slasher movies don’t do anything for me so I can’t really tell if one is bad or not (but obviously I can tell if one’s good)

So. Fucking. Good!

Had a lovely night with the lady last Thursday making #$!@* nachos, smoking some Pure Runtz, and diving into this movie.  10/10 experience.  Have been deep diving it ever since.  Already ready for a rewatch.

Thanks for making my evening simple tonight by watching Barbarian. I've literally spent the last 3 nights trying to find the perfect scary movie I'm in the mood for and just burn through 30 minutes without finding something I'm stoked on. Looking forward to seeing it tonight.

100% the best way to enjoy this film. I was stoned out of my mind the whole time but still fully engaged. Immediately added it to my all-time favorites list as soon as we finished it, and that hasn't happened with a movie since maybe the first Knives Out.

I'm super late to this one, but There Will Be Blood was brilliant. Daniel Day Lewis and Paul Dano played off of one another so well.

I love how they reversed the roles in that final scene. Daniel screaming "I AM THE THIRD REVELATION" filled me with so much anxiety.

They’re probably referring to the masterpiece Season of the Witch. Halloween Ends was something.

i watched texas chainsaw massacre (1974) for the first time last week and it blew my mind! it looks incredible, barely dated at all. the effects and the acting are like miles ahead of most slashers, including most that had like 50x the budget

Such a great flick.  Highly recommend if you’re into that stuff.

I seent Barbarian. I was thoroughly enthralled and watched most of the last half through my fingers. There was a moment in the third act where I really wanted the film to “go for it” and I was kinda let down but overall I loved it.

The new Weird Al film is pretty incredible. I wasn’t a huge fan by any stretch before watching, but I think I am now. Reminded me a lot of Pee Wee’s Big Adventure in tone, and of Tarantino’s work in it’s loose relationship to reality. Unpredictable as fuck.

Revisited this lost classic. Gnarly from start to finish. Easily one of the best soundtracks to any film.

Just saw they added Apocalypto to Peacock. It was almost impossible to find before that. You couldn't even find it to buy on DVD on Amazon. The last 30 minutes of that movie are incredible.
