I just watched Alexander for the first time since I saw it in theatres.  Kind of shitty like how I remembered it, but I forgot how epic that sequence was of him charging that fucking elephant.  That was really the only good part of that movie.  Oh, and Rosario Dawson's tits, that was kinda cool too.

did you guys hear how collin "big dick" ferral had a nudity scene pulled because test audiences were too distracted by his manhood? no wonder he acts like such a douche...

Yeah that movie was amazing. I wasn't expecting it to be anywhere near as good as it was.

I just saw I Am Legend and Casino Royale again. I thought I was sort of losing interest in Bond movies, but I was grossly misinformed. I didn't like the end to I Am Legend. I heard the book has a better ending. Usually Hollywood changes endings that, while they may compromise important aspects of the original story, tend to please the audience more. I thought the movie's ending sucked.

wow, I just saw this, and liked it a lot. Why wasn't this used?
http://www.firstshowing.net/2008/03/05/must-watch-i-am-legends-original-ending-this-is-amazing/

There Will Be Blood - good, but didn't live up to the hype.

sleazy im stoked you went through all of christians movies, i geuss its safe to say you did the same thing for daniel day? because youve posted some of his flicks on here that i have never heard of, Christian has so many diverse roles, people may say hes type cast to that "amercian psycho esque" guy but i find he can play a variety of rolls, look at the machinist and jesus empire of the sun! hes so sick in that and hes like 12, spielberg had it right for sure. ive seen all of bales movies except for 'a new world' which is that pochahantas one or whatever with colin 'big dick? farrel, that douche
what did you think of Equilibirum, I thought it was cheesy at times but super gratifying at the end
and how did you like Rescue Dawn? If they cut the first 20 minutes of the movie out in that fucking brief room it would have been saved, god Bales accent was fucking terrible
bah now you got me rambling, but Bale is my favourite actor, i pissed my pants when i found out he was batman

yeah, i generally follow directors or actors i like when doing my movie q and bale was one of the first people i explored

i thought equilibrium was the movie that i hope aeon flux would be. way better than the usual film of that type but definitely cheesy futuristic action flick at it's core. but i like those kinds of flicks as long as they have gnar violence and it had good gun play and fight scenes so it worked for me.

rescue dawn was good, not one of my favorites by bale but i definitely like watching anything with him. i didn't find his accent annoying at all in that one, i think he's head and shoulders above any US actors when it comes to doing that kind of thing.

harsh times, the machinist and american psycho are probably my favorites with him though; batman's awesome and all but not bale's best acting though.

I read somewhere that he held the most on-screen kills by one character for a movie until i think the new Rambo, but it seemed strange because i didnt remember him killing that many people, but then again he did kill a shit load

for the accent i just meant for the first 20 minutes or so, just seemed forced and really nasaly(?) nasal sounding maybe

any reccomendations for actors or directors? i like this idea of going through all of a persons films

For actors, I'm almost done with Daniel Day Lewis and he just doesn't do bad movies. Really diverse in his roles and types of films and always at least interesting. I'm not sure who I'll go to after him. Good actors who don't do type'd cast roles are hard to find and they seem to be the most interesting ones to explore. Elijah Wood seems like he picks good ones and is pretty diverse and I've heard that Liam Niessen has a really good porfolio with his less popular films.

And then for director's i'm currently working my way through David Cronenberg's stuff. Of course Cohen Brother's but you've probably already seen there stuff. David Lynch for sure, if you like heavy themes, heavy violence, heavy sex and light plot. Wes Anderson but he seems to have fallen off a bit. Still does intersting movies but they don't seem to have the humor his early works did.

Yeah, but his accent isn't supposed to be American, it's a German speaking English, so you should give him a little leeway.

I fucking hated "The Tracey Fragments"

avoid it by all means, my fellow good movie lovers.
I rarely venture into classic slap and the one time I do it I find a guy getting his dick eaten by a dolphin.
