this movie is pretty rad:

<img src="http://www.odditycinema.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/wildzero.jpg">

its basically a campy japanese rockabilly motorcycle dark zombie comedy starring the band Guitar Wolf.  it works on so many levels

yo hell yeah, this movie is awesome!

we own the night. Good movie, but seeing it so soon after the departed made me feel like everyone is doing the spy vs. spy thing, if i'm even using that correctly, which i think i'm not.

I also saw cloverfield, but that just pissed me off.

I enjoyed it, it was very slow and of course sad. If you are not a fan of Joy Division you might find it to be a bad movie, for someone like me who have been a fan for many years it answers some questions and gives a sense of what led up to his suicide. (Having not read the book that is)

I believe everyone should see this movie just because its a documentation of what really happened.

The Seven Samurai and Malcolm X.  Marathon evening, but great films.

oh man, Seven Samurai was so tight.  I watched another one of the guys movie the other day and it was almost equally as wicked:

I actually liked Sanjuro better than Yojimbo.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

I found it to be a little slow at times but really good, it might be better if you don't know a whole lot about how bad Wal Mart is. I would recomend watching.

I watched a couple films from The Up series last night.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Up_Series
Really good concept, they take a bunch of seven year olds from Britain from various locations and social backgrounds and film updates on them every seven years, starting in the 60's. It's fucking weird/often depressing seeing how few lives stay on track with what they want to do.
Most of the early ones are on Google Video if you search 'Michael Apted'. I'd recommend it.
[close]

shit that looks really interesting, how did you watch it, dvd, stream, download?
[close]

Google video. You can torrent them all together if you want to, cause 42 Up was released in a dvd boxset or something with all the earlier ones.

been watching the series, it's amazing. i'd go as far as to say must watch. watched 35 last night and got 42 at home.

on wikipedia it said that there is a 49 out too but i haven't seen the dvd anywhere yet. definitely going to keep following it though. it seems like the OG reality show; the incarnation of what real world was trying to accomplish in the begining when they were still playing with the idea of doing social experiments.

Saw Funny Games U.S. today, after having watched the original one a while back and thought it was equally as good, because of the higher production value this time.

I can't believe some peoples reactions to this film though: (from imdb)

Quote from: trac283
i agree this movie was soooo pointless and i think i i ever saw those two actors i would bitchslap them just because i was duped into watching this *beep* and for the director of this pos movie.try making something plausable for once i swear i'll pay double just to see it. that dad was a joke! the mom just as dumb, the only saving grace was rewinded????? are you f'ing kidding me!. please tell me all is not lost when junk made for dumb 15 year old girls to scream to.
you know the scene that starts it of as he's being a *beep* jerk about asking for eggs over and over the dad should have grabbed the clubs and at least attempted something if not at least to show some plausability. but no he turns his back to a kid he just candyassed slapped. and btw killing a kid in a movie just to shock us wow how original. for naomi to star in this omg she must be broke or something. at least quinton Quentin Tarantino would of had the dad go and kill those two pos retards with his nine iron and a soldering iron. for shame hollywood.

Quote from:  SweetOOgaBOOga
I love Naomi. She's a great actress, but what the hell was she thinking with this piece of trash??

If the "tubby" kid had been blown through the wall this would have worked out better. I absolutely hated Micheal Pitt, what a WANKER.

That ending and the looking at the camera was crap.

All that bloody trouble and nothing to show for it. They even kill the friggen innocent boy first? WTF?

If you are thinking of seeing this DON'T waste your 5 bucks.

Trust me.

I saw Rashomon a long time ago but this has gotten me going and I'll be looking to work my way through his library.

what's a good one to start with?
