that movie was good, kinda weird seeing the same guy as Harvey Milks Lover, which btw was a good movie.

Fuck Friday the the 13th, worst movie ever made.
Nothing creative in the killing acts, and it was just plain regular.
fuck that movie, fuck it again, and once more.
god what happened to horror movies?

Some Canadian film about small time crooks escaping a satanic cult, I forgot the name but it was funny.

Irreversible.

Definitely one of the most important films ever made. Seriously dark and pushes some boundaries too.

^Hell yeah, I saw that before Jake Gyllenhal was making so many lame movies, I didn't know about him, or seth rogen and thought the movie was really dope

Need to rewatch it, isnt there a directors cut? i'd like to check that out

i heard the director's cut changed some crucial stuff around and added unnecessary scenes, might want to stick to the original

it's been a while, but i just remembered how awesome this movie is

DON'T. Trust me. You'll regret it. Richard Kelly is a horrible filmmaker. He got LUCKY with his first feature - the theatrical cut of Donnie Darko is LIGHTYEARS superior to the director's cut. The movie studio interfered and stirpped Kelly of his final cut privilage. By doing so, they saved the movie. I remember watching the directors cut for the first time and being absolutely appalled. All the ambiguousness and mystique the o.g. version had was completely erased due to the directors inability to craft a decent narrative.

Fast forward 8 or so years, and he STILL hasn't produced a decent movie.

it was good the first time when it was released as this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGkGYDXunPI

then a bunch of American hacks thought no one would notice they ripped it off and the rest is history.

i fucking hate remakes.

in other news, i finally saw "Jesco White: Dancing Outlaw" and realized that my entire life is a lie and jesco is the truth

After having an obsession with E.T. for many months, I have been lucky enough to re-obsess over any John Carpenter/Kurt Russell movie.
Big Trouble in Little China, The Thing, Escape from NY, Escape from LA have been on constant repeat. I throw Vampire's with James Woods in sometimes for good measure too.
Also saw Taken in theaters last week. It was a really fun action/revenge movie. If you love watching Liam Neelsen punch about 50 people in the throat, you'll enjoy it.
Coraline was cool too!

Yeah I was not feeling that movie, one of Van Sant's weakest in my opinion, felt like a bad student film, it was cool that they incorporated skateboarding but everything else was pretty weak

I liked that it didn't have a happy ending or tie up all the lose ends. It was slow, but I thought it was good.

fucking awesome.  if you like that, watch these:

Sergio Leone:
once upon a time in the west (which was actually written by dario argento)
once upon a time in america
fistful of dynamite

other good spaghettis:
Django
Four of the Apocalypse
Cutthroats nine

in other news, i just watched "the diving bell and the butterfly".  kind of a hard movie to watch, but it could really relate to the hospital stuff.
