Fongstarr that last one is real sick. How was he?

Thanks man. This is the second time seeing him and the first time he was with Jeezy, so he did more of a fast show but did a lot of his old mix tape stuff which I really like. This show was good too cause he did the entire Cocaine Pi?ata album but I am really a fan of his ESGN stuff and BFK stuff as well. So he literally did like 3 additional songs that were not on the new album and that was it. I was sort of thinking he would do a whole collective of work but Madlib was there and they did all the new album since it just came out.

Dope concert though and only $25 which I think is a steel. The crowd on the other hand is a little nutty. Some dude that looked like Yelawolf and some dude that looked like some Jersey shore looking guy were both individually trying to fight whoever they laid eyes on. Gibbs just brings that out in people though.

Thanks!

So submissions for Issue Two of Cadillac Ranch Dressing are open and will remain open for the entire month of April. For those who don't know, CRD is a magazine/zine/website/whatever focusing on film photography. This time, there's a theme of "The City" so if you got any film photos that fit, submit them to [email protected]

For more information, please visit: http://www.cadillacranchdressing.com/submissions/

I don't know how to make those darkroom borders with my durst m605. You make those borders with the negative carrier or?

I use a Durst M700, I had a M305 before, but this one is a thousand times better, and I'm finally able to print my medium format negatives too. The negative carrier has adjustable strips so it can fit negatives up to 6x9, so with 24x36 you just need to let a tiny border of light to get these.

It's a bit of a bore to do them without the proper negative carrier but it's feasible.

I always get so stoked off this thread and it makes me want to shoot with film (especially Cadillac's Posts) real bad. Ive never really messed around with film cameras before so can anyone suggest a good camera to start off with?

I'm stoked my work makes you wanna shoot film! I started shooting with my grandfather's Canon AE-1P. It can be completely automatic, but you can set it to manual too so it was a great way for me to learn shit. When I started medium format, I got a Yashica Mat 124G, which I still use today. It's fully manual, but it's pretty simple and mine's a workhorse. I love it.

JB.....thanks my man....even though I am the loner boner using digital. Haha.

I really need to pick up another film camera. One with more of a lens and not a rangefinder type camera which is the only thing I have. I'd like to just see if I can apply the same things that I know with digital and do some long exposures and what not.

I find long exposures hard to manage with film, it's really hit and miss for me (mostly miss, but to be frank I very rarely try it)

One print I made this afternoon :

Loving the prints, tumulishoomaroom!

Long exposures on film get easier once you're able to read how much light you have in a scene. I will shoot 2 or 3 shots of the same scene though, just to make sure I got it. Just remember reciprocity failure becomes a factor with film, especially with longer exposures.

Just sent a file off to a museum that is going to be using one of my prints. If anybody is in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area from May 3rd to August 3rd, check out the Arlington Museum of Art. My photo will be on the outside of the building covering one of the windows, so you don't have to pay to go in to see it. But you should go in anyways because they're having a rad Ansel Adams show.

I never go out shooting with a specific series in mind - just interesting stuff or people I see, but recently I've been wanting to form it all together. I've been thinking of compiling a book of some sorts about Baltimore, where I'd have portraits go alongside my nighttime Baltimore landscapes. Not sure how soon I'd like to get that together, so for now it's just an ongoing thing until I feel ready.
