great game. i guess something was wrong with epsn cause both channels cut out for a good couple of minutes at one point. i missed the 2nd goal. as soon as it came back on the score was 2-0. pretty bummed.
.....but while were kinda on the look-alike subject, i always thought John Terry looked like Kevin Spacey

Fuck I hated the austria game yesterday. First half was embarassing shit as usual, second half Harnik, Korkmaz, Kienast and Proedl all made a good game but still weren't able to beat Pletikosa (who was weak). I think they'd have deserved that one point. Now, since there's no way they're gonna beat Germany like this, I'm afraid they're practically out.
Germany game was good though, that one year of Premier League Ballack brings to the team makes such a huge difference.

My predictions for today:

Romania 1: 1 France

Holland 1:1 Italy

nah, I don't know really. Tough choice today.

well, the first was technically offside, but the second was one of the best pieces of football I've seen in a long time. It started by defending a corner too, impressive stuff.

well technically, yeah, but there was a defender down behind the line, and the ref didnt blow it. and justifiably, too, it was his own goalie who struck him in the face.

the second, starting with bronckhorst's save, pass, and cross in, coupled with the birthday boy's karate kick all came together as a real damn beaut. so proud.

I couldn't even get any KFC cause the place was a porkchop haven. I think I probably went racist.

The taxi driver wasn't down either. Some shitfaced flag cape wearer in the middle of the street and he was like "this is boolsheet, in my country, he would be run over".

i had my first day of work today so i missed both games, and they had the game on at the bar, but i was in training so i was nowhere near the tv. bummed. i caught a glimpse and saw italy was down 2. SO SYKED. but the replay is coming on in about 2 hours.

hmm, first half I would say they weren't as good, but in the second half they were definitely playing well, maybe "top of their game" was a slight exaggeration, but what I meant was that Holland outplayed a very good side, rather than Italy simply being poor and easily beaten.

anyway, looking forward to tonight's matches (even though I have 6 hours of exams tomorrow...)
