He seems like he's got some skill on a board, but I have also heard accounts of him being very whiny on tour and not wanting to skate the spots they go to.

i can't think of anyone whos turned pro in the past 5 years who's "paid dues" other than daniel castillo.

Any Am on chocolate (Roberts - Jesus), Torey (hopefully will go pro) and that is pretty much it.

I watched his footage and not to hyped up for him. Reminds me of Chris Tory but not likeable.

It was REALLY obvious they were going to turn him pro. first give him a full part in a Transworld video, then a full interview in transworld. not like, a skater check in the end of the Transworlds, just a random ass full interview. He reps his sponsors too the fullest and is a great skater. It was real obvious it was comming. same with mo, and malto, and next torey. Matter fact, someone make a damn thread on who they thinks going pro next.

Others I forgot about: Yeah right Ams, Lost and found ams, Todd Falcon, Kellen James (what like 23 when he got sponsored? That is fucking paying dues to skating) fuck that really might be it.

Guys that are paying dues and should go pro: Pete Eldridge, Tony Mont, John Motta, Zach Lyons (gets shit done), Javier (Sponsor him if he decides not to be lazy.).

and the guy who doesnt agree with Torey he has been a AM since he was like 14.

he's had a several video parts: local stuff that was really gnarly, creature vids, vox promos and now a transworld part (which is always major), plenty of magazine coverage including a cover (and all the dudes at the mags love the kid), he's a good mix of rail and tranny skating which fits creature perfect, he does well in contests, looks like he's having fun and seems to be pretty marketable. all of this has created a good amount of hype behind him. seems like a perfect time to turn pro, and i'm hyped for him.

i'm from the seattle area and we all knew that if anyone was going to "make it" out of that scene again, it was going to be david. congratulations dude.
