today was my birthday, so i got a new complete, even though i only originally planned to get a new deck, bearings and hardware. before, i had an anti hero that i got from a shop for free that was like new, but someone got a new deck and left it behind, some thunders that i got off my friend, i don't even know what bearrings i had, and some reynolds baker wheels that i bought off my friend for $10 when they were new. so i was planning on getting a new deck cuz i cracked that anti hero, some new hardware because mine loosens on it's own, and some bearrings, because i broke a one the other day, and in general they're really dirty and slow. then my friend was talking about how he needed new wheels and i remember skating his board for a minute one day and feeling the gnarly flatspots that he had, so i was just like, i'll get some new wheels and give him mine, since mine are in good condition, but are a lot smaller than what i usually skate because they've worn down. once at the shop, i wasn't gonna get trucks, but the worker told me you save like 30% if you buy a complete, so i figured i might as well get new trucks, even though i hate breaking them in.
