Indo surf trip.  I’m down to have a skate with anyone reading this in indo.  I’ll be in Bali on the 11th.

Fucking A! Bali has some amazing surf! Would love to spend an entire year there getting good at surfing. Great waves all year round of all shapes and sizes. It's really unfortunate the tourism industry is killing local industry though.

from western australia its cheaper to fly to bali than to the east coast. cheaper than a lot of places actually.

So many drunk Australians though

I've been stoked on pumpernickel rye bread lately. Made myself an egg sandwich between 2 slices of rye this morning. So good.

Went to a party during the weekend, saw a girl I hadn’t seen in a few years. I used to have a major crush on her but never made my move for some reason. Had a few drinks with her and later on she ended up telling my buddy she’s been into me for years and was hoping I’d end up asking her out one day.

Seeing her tomorrow night. I feel like a giddy high schooler.

-Getting over a learning curve at work (input data for the wrong day and I had to clear a whole day and re-enter correct info... just to re-enter it on the wrong day) and more comfortable with commands we use in the program.
-Because of the practice I have been busy and feel actually productive and like I've actually earned my wage
-Finally, got my BA

Edit: Received my diploma in the mail today!

Using an SP12.  35  years old and still the best sampler on earth, asides from an sp1200
[close]

Have you seen this thing yet? Someone finally cloned it. Still not cheap, but compared to the prices people ask for original sp-1200 nowadays.. https://www.islainstruments.com/product/sp-2400/

I want that so bad. I use this crappy esx1. I love it though the knobs are suck.

Today makes 30 days that I haven’t smoked weed. Only done that a few times before. Hadn’t really been counting days which is a good thing I suppose. Feeling much more positive and doing a lot more things to improve my life. Way less stress too.

Wrote a little bit in the Skate Questions - Basic Ass Tricks that Piss You Off section.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRzUZDW2KYQ
Here is a good starting point

https://youtu.be/xbWgIHcEaa0?t=3693
Getting that pinch

1) Think of it like a 50-50 on approach, close and parallel. I thought I was riding pretty parallel until the park vet told me I was still going in at a sharp angle. Too sharp and you're likely to stick, end up FS Noseslide or have problems holding the pinch.
2) Ollie high enough to ride on top of the ledge, back foot helping to balance out the pinch. I had to tell myself to lock onto the top of the ledge, rather than side on like a slide
3) Loose trucks help the pinch
4) Commit to the front truck and pressure in hard. I have no problems committing to a long BS crooked grind, carry that same commitment to your FS crooked grind
5) Coming off the end is similar to a BS crooked grind, just nudge off the edge
6) Practice getting the stall on a ledge helps with learning the weight distribution

Good on you man, I live in a country where recreational drugs is highly criminalized and always wondered how much I would smoke if I lived in a country where its decriminalized. Hope you're getting more productive stuff out of your life with more time and focus.

COVID19 means my travel for the foreseeable future is cancelled and I'm stoked on that. I was flying at least once a month, internationally, and was really starting to miss my wife and family.

I was supposed to travel to China in Feb before the virus hit, thankfully that got pulled and my travel has been capped at the moment. Wouldn't mind travelling to Australia, pick up some of their awesome Folklore decks.

i know i have ADD and have been lazy with getting a prescription. my girl gave me half a 25 today before i went to skate and had my best session in recent memory. everything felt right and i even enjoyed an 8.25 today which i thought i would hate immediately. time to get my script
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

Around 2010, I tore my ACL which basically ruined my confidence physical activity wise. I tried skating every now and then afterwards but still felt shook, which eventually lead to a second knee injury.

I'm currently in Israel for a few months visiting my in laws for the second time. Yesterday I decided fuck it, I bought a board at the local shop and had the most fun not just on a skateboard but in general for a very long time. I finally filled the void of missing skateboarding.

I'm approaching my late 20's with a fat and wack physique, so obviously the skating wasn't amazing pro level, but just the adrenaline from riding around full speed and doing kickflips is such a goddamn joy. I'm sure I surprised the little shalomies at the local park in Tel Aviv.

Just had one of those strange moments today. I was staring at the clock for like 2 mins and suddenly the beat to the song I was listening too picked up and I got this voice in my head that said now isn't your time.
