Picked up Keanu’s BRZRKR comic

BRZRKR rips rib from man to kill man

Re-re-re-learned frontside noseslides today. Just on a big curb, and to fakie, and not going fast, but I'm really hyped. The last one I ollied into and slid was five years ago, as sad as that is.

What's even sadder is that I had to relearn ollieng into nosestalls before I could properly try front noses, and I did that today as well. I was trying ollieing into nosestalls for a few weeks and it just wasn't working, which was pretty maddening. But once I relearned nosestalls today, the front nose came back quickly after that which was a big surprise. I did like six.

I'm hyped partially because I want to film a line with a front nose on a proper ledge this year, and relearning them if even on a curb is a big step forward. It felt so good to slide them again.

I just tried my new titanium indys after work, and my old legs enjoyed the weight difference. I was nervous because they are expensive but it payed off.  :)

I'm trying to get into Vans Park contests because I think women's park will be interesting in the olympics. I'm trying to cop some knees and a helmet rn. No disrespect to street section riders, but I could just watch an Alexis Sablone part. It's cool that the USA women's park and street might represent Stereo, Frog, Meow and Glue in Tokyo. Anyway I hope Lizzie takes gold, Poppy from AU is sick and gay, the Japanese girl on welcome is cool too. I'm watching the 2019 SLC one and Tony is so pro-Lizzie and it's funny because he's lowkey her boss.

Got vaxed, then set up a cruiser with my niece for her birthday and pushed around a parking lot with her for a bit.

Finally reclaiming the muscles I've lost in my lower back, slowly recovering my capacity to sleep comfortably

Holy fuck I've needed this - doing DIY insuranceless Physical Therapy by daily youtube yoga videos & gentle bowl lines at the local. I can't wait til I'm fully vaccinated so I don't need to get up at 8 A.M. to avoid the rush of covid kids. I'll still be masked up and cautious, but at least I won't be suffering from the debilitating anxiety that I'll catch a respiratory disease while my lower back is in this condition.

Fingers crossed, just gotta stick with it and be patient! Most importantly, skating again has been FUN as fuck, and I am Stoked!

had a short, but pretty cool session with the homie at a micromannypad you can kind of bonk onto, or chinese ollie on. i suck at mannys generally but i got a half cab bonk manny bs 180, that was pretty sick. also found a downhill curb that could be made into a slappy curb and would be mad fun.

Back when I was in the marine corps there was a few dudes I met that were skate rats, and for the most part the only dudes I stayed in contact with.

I had fallen out of touch with a good friend of mine, we skated together all the time. A few months ago we got back in contact and I was fucking hyped. Told him how much I’d been skating and he was fired up, and told me how much he missed skating but he can’t skate anymore because he lost his leg.

I was fucking super bummed, he was handling like a champ and we still talk about skating and music and shit on a damn near daily basis.

It had been a few days since we last talked and he just text me a video and said “still got it” and he was clicking around and pushing in his garage. I audibly yelled fuck yeah stupid loud. He’s been clicking around and trying to relearn and that shit made me so fucking fired up I don’t know if I can sleep.
Well I have like 9 Andy Anderson dated flight decks.

Had a good session this morning and filmed 2 tricks, a FS and BS tailslide on a tall-ish ledge. My flatground is crap but I'm happy my ledge game is getting more consistent. COVID lockdowns also gave me the chance to up my sandwich making game for lunch - I'm able to balance my flavors and get the timing for my sunny side eggs down.

Today I'm stoked on going to lunch with my wife at this japanese restaurant in front of the beach and spend the rest of the day there. It's been waaaay to long since we did something like this.

My headspace is much better today than the past few. I had a nice windows-down-warm-weather-listening-to-Freddie-Gibbs drive home from work.

My new job. Also, actually having time to skate today. The on-boarding and the being thrust into a new project has had me too mentally focused on work rather than everything else — skating, cycling, and recreating in general. But now that I'm getting into the groove of things, I made plans to have a little curb sesh after I clock out. I'm excited.

Was confused and saw your avatar had a picture of a cow and thought that was funny, and then saw you had cattle in your name, and then this was your first post on Slap. Respect.

I'm going to be in the city on Saturday. Going to the park to see murphy's law with my family but I'm likely going to take off and skate for a few hrs.

Moving forward in my life I am over living here in Floriduh, I can tolerate the boringness of Chattanooga as I have a place to go to. As opposed to toxic people I live with, try not to self sabotage this situation as you could comeback.
