learning linux is sick. i'm fucking around with terminal commands and it's so dope. got my first python class on wednesday.

also made some good deals on bike parts. 20 bucks for a brand new specialized saddle and a tenner for a shimano mtb crank in very good condition.

On my first day of vacation and so far have scored at a Adidas outlet, had birds land on me and fed stingrays.

i'm not a dev(yet). i'm studying computing in science with emphasis on physics. it's like a combo of informatics, physics, and math. most my courses right now are just straight up math and physics classes, and some programming. after i'm halfway through being a proper physicist/mathematician, it's gonna get more programming/informatics heavy about midway through, then before the end i will have to specify in one of those three fields once again, before writing a bachelor work that combines the three.

it's pretty sick, i basically live right next to a particle accelerator, which we will visit and also be able to do practice work. one of my scholars is the head researcher there.

i had 4 hours math excercise today, my brain is fucking fried haha.

i'm just starting out and it's a lot, especially since i skipped a lot math in school and basically have to force it into my head now at a pretty fast pace. what helps me is just to take the rules at face value and calculate. whenever i don't know a term i instantly look it up and watch a video and excercise calculating around it. today i kind of saw where i stand, which is that i am worse than a 17 year old girl who's taking a junior class and still going to school. then again, she was the smartest of all of us. she basically knew everything. but it's still managable i'd say. the scholars all say the first year is the worst, it gets even more complicated after that, but you are through any sort of shell shock or being overwhelmed, if you make it through. and i have 4 tries for every course exam i have to write, so there is room for error.

well done!

i haven't bought skate clothes in years. i got a thrasher X atlantic drift hoodie as a birthday present, the one with the jellyfish in purple. i remember i showed it to my friend about a half year ago and she remembered that i liked it and ordered it back then before it was sold out. i wouldn't have bought it myself, but it's sick. of course it's a trash blank, but it checks all boxes for a thrasher hoodie. in that it's too big, formless, but very comfy.

i saw a mailorderbox from some skate retailer at her place months ago and she was like "don't look at this" and kept hiding it and i already figured she ordered something for me haha. i actually thought it was a thrasher pride shirt or hat, which would have also been cool.

my partner moved out here to live with me about 4 years ago. it'd been a long distance sorta thing for 3 years prior. since she moved here I haven't had time away unless I've left for work or something. she's about as rad as a partner can be AND also very serious about her work and doesn't take time off, she never really travels. this weekend, she's away. I've got the house to myself

feels like the old days, except I'm not living in an attic and have a comfortable bed... getting super fried and playing guitar all night instead of watching shows. eating beans and eggs instead of meals. nobody else's shit to pick up.

it'll be nice when she gets home, but damn I'm stoked to be alone right now

Dead On Arrival had a contest on their Instagram story name the song from their board prom. A Canadian like myself had to know it was from Bob and Dougs Strange Brew. I just hope they send the stickers. Life is hard with Canadian shipping and customs

I thought it was accurate to the book, it took the subject seriously and didn't look goofy. It looked gorgeous and all the casting was perfect. I have no critiques. Just a really well done adaptation. Can't wait to see part 2

Thank you!

Also my bag of tricks is as deep as a puddle. Maybe 30 slappys or 30 subpar kickflips at 30 at some point. But 30 tricks is a tall order for me.
