For me 54mm classics, but after a month or so and theyve worn down a little so the contact patch is wider. I skate mostly small stuff at the park though these days.

Could probably do 56s but i ride low trucks so id probably hate them for a month.

Deedz rides 60mm spitifre classics and im pretty sure radial fulls as well (im pretty sure he was riding the red t funk wheel which is a radial full 60mm) the type of skating he does...
T Funk im assuming also rides this wheel..?
I am pretty sure I saw a lto of GX1000 guys riding it in the last video too
so seems like it is still functional for them

for the average human though, it is probably not going to add functionality to your setup lol probably 54 is the biggest you should ever need.

Bigger wheels always feel like they boost my pop, i just have to adjust for a bit so i can be consistent. After that i feel comfortable on it.

Only problem that on 8 inch trucks, big wider wheels start to grab the ledge when pinching a crooks. The wheel off the ledge starts to grab the ledge abd slows you down or tries to push you over the ledge, this especially happens on rounded or parking block ledges.  Solution? Ride wider trucks. Too bad venture doesn't make a 8.5 low. So i have to ride the highs.

Skating transition with wheels under 55 mm requires too much pushing for me to clear anything. I always thought the layout of the park kind of sucked, but it’s most likely that my pumping technique needs improvement.

I tried the Big Beatdowns in 66.6 mm and they were too much for me in size and speed. 56-60 mm is my range depending on the board and location. When exploring places with steep hills, I swap out my bearings for cheaper ones like Spitfire Burners and my 58-60 mm RF or CF for a worn-down set from my stash.

Crack kills. Take it from someone who went from mini cubics to like 43s and back. Why play with your body for less of thrill?
Little wheels was for attacking 3-6 stairs with no run up on 1990s ground and switching grinds easier
Album link. I saw another pals account   Photos too big. Apologies. I know some of yall hate me for it

The old City Streets by Tracker was better. This was like 1987 or so. Urethane was better back then I think. Both sets was made before 86 or 07 when I inherited them.
I’ve ridden modern versions of the mini and they don’t go like my old sets
