Birdhouse used to be available in sporting goods stores, but it's been replaced with Tony Hawk boards, which cost around $30-40. My guess is that Tony Hawk Skateboards, Hawk Shoes, and the video game deals bring in enough money to keep Birdhouse going.

It's unfathomable to think that current-day Birdhouse makes profit, but maybe younger kids that are into contests and Woodward dig Birdhouse.

Birdhouse is still a sporting goods beginner prebuilt complete and budget brand overseas. I imagine that licensing is where the bulk of the income comes from.

I'm not one to judge anyone's cringe.  But I posted elsewhere that I read his interview in Thrasher (the one with his cover).  He was very open about his mental health issues and overall did not seem in a good space. For me that leads to leeway and a bit more empathy in regards to behavior.

Is there a link to the interview? Does Thrasher even have interviews posted outside of the physical mag?

 My 11 year old daughter rides a Lizzie Armanto Birdhouse deck. When she needs a new board I guarantee she'll want another one. She has a few homegirls who skate and I don't think all of them have Lizzy decks but definitely some of them do. I don't know about contest or Woodward fans but young girls are all about Birdhouse.
