Right handed, goofy, but boxing and judo left foot forward.
It all makes sense to me. Im
Shit, you're the perfect person to answer my question.
I know there's no kicking in Judo, but if you were going to do this type of jump kick...

Would it be more comfortable/powerful/graceful to do it right foot forward like your skate stance or left foot forward like your combat stance?
I just did a kick like this to confirm (I shadow box and throw a million kicks around the house everyday and right handed goofy)
I started orthodox stance and quick-step stance switched to right foot forward, jumped off lead leg, tucked left foot to throw jumping right kick. If I were throwing the left foot jumping kick, I would just jump off my left foot from orthodox stance
I’m orthodox in fight stance (but am quite comfortable south paw) and I throw a lot of left kicks. I can throw them quick with little set up but there is a quick shift in stance so the right foot (regular stance) is forward
I was going to ask about the throw down since we’re all confused at how this or that can be comfortable to certain people. I can throw it down very nicely in switch stance with my right hand but the crossover feels like I’m doing something unnecessarily tricky but I guess that’s standard? Do some regular right hand bros throw down with the left hand?
