Daewon is one of the greatest of all time, but I hate his "manual into and out of everything all over the park" shit.
Andy Anderson, I cannot sanction your buffoonery.

Daewon footage has been awful for like 20 years and I hope I never see a 360 flip out of a blunt ever again.

Shit, you're the perfect person to answer my question.

I know there's no kicking in Judo, but if you were going to do this type of jump kick...

Would it be more comfortable/powerful/graceful to do it right foot forward like your skate stance or left foot forward like your combat stance?

Jump with left foot, kick with right? I don't know how the mechanics of a kick like that works, but right is my strong kicking foot in rugby/soccer etc

I just did a kick like this to confirm (I shadow box and throw a million kicks around the house everyday and right handed goofy)

I started orthodox stance and quick-step stance switched to right foot forward, jumped off lead leg, tucked left foot to throw jumping right kick. If I were throwing the left foot jumping kick, I would just jump off my left foot from orthodox stance

I’m orthodox in fight stance (but am quite comfortable south paw) and I throw a lot of left kicks. I can throw them quick with little set up but there is a quick shift in stance so the right foot (regular stance) is forward

I was going to ask about the throw down since we’re all confused at how this or that can be comfortable to certain people. I can throw it down very nicely in switch stance with my right hand but the crossover feels like I’m doing something unnecessarily tricky but I guess that’s standard? Do some regular right hand bros throw down with the left hand?

Yeah I always throw down with my front hand (left).
Don't think I've ever skated with someone who does the Reynolds back hand throw down.

I’m regular and I think my flying side kick would look like Ryu’s here.

Jump off right foot, kick out with left.

Here’s a question: do other people’s stances relate to which foot you would jump off of if jumping for distance? i.e. is the foot you jump off of doing a long jump your BACK foot in your primary skate stance?

Nah I’m goofy and I would jump off of my right leg
I also rather kick a ball with my right but my left leg is way stronger i just can’t apply it in the same way to be as effective as my right leg in most scenarios

Skate clothing is irrelevant in 2026. The team’s own riders don’t even wear their company’s clothes, why should a consumer? With that said Limosine has some of the worst clothing materials I’ve ever seen from a skateboard clothing brand that charges top dollar in all my life holy shit.

I’ve had done cromers since they came out I wear regularly and them things is still kicking. My surf pants are a regular wear also, but none beat these Uniqlo cargos I have.

Shirts I prefer comfort colors blanks over most, I have some former button ups I like tho.

I do have a shit ton of stance socks too, get those whenever there are far ass sales

Comfort Colors blank and Stance socks! Speaking my language. I try and get the Stance performance or baseball line instead of the casual if possible. Great for skating in.

I’ve been trying to buy more skate clothes instead of boards, but it is hard when my $15 snoopy T-shirt is more comfy than my $39 sci-fi tee shirt.

There's a point where you just have enough of something too...how many more t-shirts do I need?  I save my money for boards and shoes, the clothes are a luxury item.  I buy them, but not too regularly.

I am regular and thrown down with my right hand. I can do it with my left too though. It's a carry over from starting out mongo. I've come across it teaching a few skate lessons over the years. Little mongo kids need to throw with their back hand. Gives you a good switch throw down obviously.

In pictures, particularly of flip tricks, I think smaller wheels are more esthetically pleasing than larger wheels. There, I said it. I will not be elaborating.

They can look decent provided the wheels aren’t too yellow and crusty and there isn’t a big size mismatch, ie small tech setup is chill but big board and trucks ehh, IMO
