I’m not sure I’m ride or die for any brand, but there are a few I will just get without shopping around or thinking:

Jessup grip

Smuckers natural peanut butter

Powell duran slidewinder decks specifically

Talenti raspberry gelato

Altra Cayds

Precise v7 rollerball pens

Truspec pants

Santitas chips even after they went from 1.99 to 2.29. And pace medium salsa.

Darn tough socks

Schick 6 pack green razors

187 knee pads

Tony’s chocolonely salted caramel…until I realized it wasn’t gluten free and was burning holes in my intestines. Cmon guys make a gf version! And change that name. I don’t  need to associate loneliness with candy. Super tasty though…

…and it’s not a controversial opinion, but I have been way more impressed by bones swiss bearings than I expected to be. Rare instance where the hype is real.

On the other hand, with some items I’m a complete slut and will switch just out of curiosity or because it’s on sale. These include:

T-shirts
Wheels
Soap/detergent
Booze
Even trucks sometimes. Pretty consistently indy/ace, but sometimes slappy, paris and even gullwing.

Thunder trucks - I feel like all my flip tricks work best with Thunders

Bones Swiss bearings- self explanatory

Shorty's Hardware - they have smaller heads that sink easily into the bolt holes on the deck, I hate when it feels like I have to crush the bolt heads into the wood to keep them from sticking up a little.

Basically everything else on skate setup can change on a whim.

I don't know man. I think it would be super shitty if any of us were loyal to "The Brand".

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Yeah this is straight facts. (Says the man who just posted a long ass list of brands)

Maybe there’s a difference between liking a good thing and getting (macklemore voice) « tricked by biz-ness »

But maybe not.

Anyway. Might have to try some Wildbrine Kraut. (Unless everyone on here secretly works for Wildbrine and they’ve been playing a long game since the 90s. In which case…slow clap.)

Edit: shoutout to Lenny’s signature video clip. I don’t know who that is doing that wallride 360, but every time I see it I stop and watch 11 times, just mesmerized.

Less about what I am loyal to and more about what I avoid. Lots of brands I’ll never touch, so I just pick from what is left.

I’m not brand loyal but I do like Real decks. I always use Shorty’s hardware so that’s a much as brand loyal as I get. I used to be loyal to Ventures but I mostly ride Thunders now.

Oh, I almost forgot, Dickies (and to a lesser extent Red Kap) pants  are by far the most loyal I am to any clothing brand. Even if I didn’t skate I would wear them all the time.

My first board was a world industries mullet boy in like 01 but after that I was big into shortys I would go through about a board a month and this went on from like 02 to 07 when they went under that’s over 60 boards. I also skated krux from like 03 to 2020 when I switched to ace. Probably went through a pair a year. During Covid ngl zumiez had the satori big foot wheel for $12 so I bought 20 pairs. Probably going to be skating those awhile

I always had a plan to own a tercel, then a corolla, then a camry, then die.  I figured each one would last 20 years.  I'm currently stuck in a Prius.

Life doesn't always pan out quite the way we think it will....but often pretty close.

I skate Ventures.

Going from 17 years on krux to ace must have felt crazy! Did your whole style change?

If I had to pick one brand it would probably be Polar. I like the team, easily my favorite brand in terms of art direction and an added bonus is although their clothes are overpriced, they are very good quality. Significantly better than other skate brands I’ve bought from.

Even though they are corporate shills, I will always have some sort of brand loyalty for Vans. They make clothing for bigger guys and I’ve always been a XXL and had difficulty finding shit in my size whether it be online or especially at a local shop.

Had extreme loyalty for Volcom over the years, at one point I had a pair of their chinos in every single color. Still have at least 5-6 pairs.

Used to exclusively ride real decks for years because I swore they retained pop more than every other brand

Now I could really care less. Other than shoes everything works for me more or less

I generally don’t consider myself loyal to any brand. Why should I be loyal to some idea that was likely conceived purely to make money in any way possible?

In the skate world, I guess there are more non-corporate brands that are in it to provide quality and have passion for elevating whatever they do. It’s hard to say that any one is better than others, especially in decks since they mostly are the same but Black Label usually stands out for their longevity and consistency.

Powell is probably the best overall in terms of continually pushing the boundaries on developing better skate products.

Volcom was just mentioned and there was a time where I tried all kinds of pants and found Volcom always had the best fit, comfort, durability and value so I only bought those for a while. It might be their change in ownership but I’ve noticed they are still good but for some reason, they no longer make the lengths that fit me. I used to be able to get perfect length pants from them but now it seems like they are all too long and meant to be rolled or hemmed.

Other examples of brands in general I might trust and believe strive to make quality products but not necessarily are loyal to are Porsche, LG (only for their oled TVs), Never Summer.

But I am not loyal and don’t buy exclusively from any brand. I check what’s available at the time I need something and make my choice at that time depending on what fits my needs best at that moment.

Been riding spitfire formula 4 for some years now, mostly bones STF before the switch but yeah spitfire image is just cooler. Skated indi's for long but after they changed factories and I noticed some quality changed I switched to ace. Tried some Lurpiv the last year, they broke recently and got some ace again but maybe i'll get a set of lurpiv's again. Boards, I'll skate almost anything (try to avoid jart and/or DSM). Been skating the NB 1010 for about 5 years now, mostly based on durability and price. A pair of 1010's lasts me 2 to 3 months and they are pretty easy to find below €80 while most other skate shoes only last me a month.

Seems like an odd one. Curious where you all are from?
Anyways, a chip company is definitely something I wouldn’t call myself loyal to but I like Have’a Corn Chips or the house chips they sell at Superior Groceries.

i'm in Pittsburgh. it's definitely an odd loyalty, but they're priced good and just a solid tortilla chip.

when it comes to food, once i find something i really like i get stuck on it.
kinders seasonings is another thing i've been pretty loyal too for the last few years haha

I get the food thing more than a lot of other loyalties when you find certain culinary treasures. Santitas just seemed like a funny one to me but I’m in CA so I’m sure we have a lot more options. There are restaurants that I am so invested in, that I have said on many occasions that if they were to ever think about closing, I’d seriously consider either quitting my job to take over or find some other way to help them continue.

Dlx is #1. Bones bearings. I usually fuck with theories brands. Metal took up my attention for a while. Now I’ve been on a local bland for a bit. I gotta buy wood again soon tho. Probably looking like There again. Unless metals available at the shop.

My primary loyalty is to my local

GX-They put out videos I really like, but more importantly finally found out their 8.25 is always the full/square I like
Ace-I like to turn, but Id be lying if I didnt mention my flip tricks are ridiculously inconsistent now
OJ-No reason in particular and couldnt tell you when/why that started
JLAB-Bought an ergonomic mouse because my hands were getting fucked from using the flat apple mouse all day. Randomly in BJs decided to get a new portable speaker. $30 and it is actually pretty decent. Just affordable electronics with ridiculously good batteries

Lol. Eldee is definitely a human. He’s like a raider on horse back who’s kinda scared to do battle. Somehow he closes his eyes and swings his sword wildly and wakes up in a pile of dead orcs.
