Lest we forget that like no one on primitive got paid for a good chunk of last year.
why did they stay ?
Loyalty for the brand / Prod ?
I would think it was more like a contractual obligation. Then again, I wonder if PRod makes people sign contracts regardless of whether or not they’re pro or would-be pro.
I don’t even know man, I know in the thread for it a few months back someone posted some industry guy commenting their accountant or something stole like 3 million? I’m assuming it’s one of those things where they caught dude and worked it out so the team stuck around.
It’s not like this is an uncommon thing in skating though. Look at the stories from kayo and dwindle before they finally closed up shop though. All those guys said they put up with for months before really considering leaving , whether it be trusting their tms who actually were looking out for them or just not wanting to give up the dream. Jaeb just young and popular enough that he could actually go somewhere new without having to worry about like a mortgage and kids and stuff. A Nike check and roommates is a pretty good life for a 21 year old not so much a 31 year old.

I'm not sure you understand how contracts work. If Primitive is in breach of contract because they stop paying their skaters, those skaters are definitely not obligated to continue skating for Primitive.
