i never really got into drinking a lot until i was 17, so its only been 3 years. I guess it has a hold on me now for sure because about a year
or so ago if i was bored i'd just start drinking solely for something to do.

that being said ive had heaps of fun times being really drunk and i dont see a problem with it.

i tried to cut back on my drinking because i felt was turning into a pile of shit but lately all my friends have been showing up with liquor/beer every other night.
so far my cutting back hasn't worked out but i did go 2 days(this monday and tuesday) without a drink though i slipped yesterday night and got kind of tossed.  2 days out of like 200 ain't bad, right?

On spring break last year I tried to do a runner on a taxi driver while I was wasted. I had three hundred dollars in my wallet and was laughing with glee at not having spent a cent of it on a taxi, when I tripped over a curb and knocked myself out cold. I woke up later missing my wallet. Don't fuck with taxi drivers.

Do you go through physical withdraw when you don't drink? Have you thought about an end game as far as your drinking goes?

Yes I've gone through physical withdrawal. I was prescribed librium when I was 21 because I drank from morning until night. When you do that and cut off alcohol abruptly you can have a seizure and 33% of people die from it. I guess it's the only drug withdrawal that can kill you directly. I quit for a little bit and then drank day and night again for about a year but I was able to hold a job and be somewhat responsible. Now I try to just stick to beer and wine but occasionally I slip up and go on a whiskey bender which usually ends with me me puking my guts out for a day or two. It seems like my stomach is kind of fucked up now.

I actually was forced to either be homeless or go to rehab at the beginning of this year. It was fucking horrible. I lasted for 22 days and realized most peoples problems weren't drugs and alcohol, it was just that they were idiots. I think the whole 12 steps AA thing is very creepy and cult like. If you have a weak mind and aren't a skeptic it might work for you, but if you're not religious and actually rational it's not very affective. I dislike most people so naturally I'm not going to enjoy talking about my feelings with a bunch of dry drunks. And I have no desire to stop drinking anytime soon. There are a lot of horrible things about drink, but I honestly enjoy my life more than before I found it.

Yeah AA is weird, and the few AA dudes I've met are kind of creepy. Like the kind of guys who tell you they're an alcoholic within the first five minutes you meet them. But whatever, if they swap out a destructive drinking habit for a creepy AA habit more power to them.

It's not the only model of rehab out there though. I guess you'll know when you're ready to kick that shit but you dudes pickling your livers kind of bum me out.

It sounds like you have a problem, but I'm not a doctor unlike Dr. Newton.  But AA is weird and stupid and emo.  If you don't want to quit, don't quit.  It's a personal matter only you can decide.

Ugh... I'm throwing myself into a 30 liver detox in January. I gotta get some detox pills and fix my diet for the month. What I thought was an allergic reaction of hives mixed with Asian Red Face, was really my liver not being able to process alcohol as well as before.

Basically, when you see those bums with red face all the time, that's what I was getting. Until I get all those toxins out of my liver, I can freely be stupid and drink again like a fish. None of my friends think I can do it, either.

I'm thinking it'll be like being Josh Hartnett in 40 Days and 40 Nights, except instead of masturbation, it's booze.

The same exact thing happened to my friend recently. It's probably a matter of time till this happens to me. Seeing how I've been going through about a gallon of Bacardi a week at home and then going out.

Well, Good luck man! I took a break for a month one time. 
You won't be able to drink alcohol but your body will still crave some kind of consumption.
I switched alcohol with food and ice cream. It worked for me.
You'll probably gain weight but you'll be damn healthy when it's over.

I'm slowly prepping myself to detox in a month. I went Monday - Wednesday with only having tea after dinner. It is now Thursday, and I'm having wine and about to finish Prince of Persia.
