"Imani and Bootie Brown have since released a Pharcyde album titled Humboldt Beginnings with producer Spaceboy Boogie X. Romye is now working on the next album by The Pharcyde titled Eclectic Compassion"

Sooooo psyched. The Pharcyde basically describes my entire highschool life.... my best friends, weed and a whole lot of boredom

I agree. It seems like every new album that comes out these days is a disappointment... and that includes all the shit Pitchfork describe as "amazing"
plus haven't half these dudes gotten addicted to crack and cocain in the past? only recently have they came back to get together

Fatlip's solo album is awesome. Shit had me laughing all the way through while bobbing my head.




Why is he not on the "Pharcyde's" new album?

Edit: Never mind, my roommate reminded me that he got kicked out a while back cause of the drug habits.

these reunion albums are rarely as good as the classics, but always worth a listen for OG fans

As long as tribe never does a comeback album I am happy. I like all their albums up to Love Movement, that shit was weak. I can only imagine what they would make now.

The Love Movment  was definetly their "Let it Be."  However, I do think they have a better album in them than that.  One thing Phife always provided was a good balance with Ali and Q-tip's smoothed out approach.  Although Ali was usually given the production credit for their stuff, Q-tip produced almost every song in their catolog.  Imagine Q-tip's new album minus all of the singing...as well as the occasional Phife verse....and that's what a new Tribe album would sound like.
