Two classic pics from the new Thrasher

This pic from the new Thrasher blew me away, the angle, the perspective, the skater vs grey concrete abyss.. wow.  A vert pic hasn't gotten me this stoked since Hosoi in his method air days.

my scanner could not capture the entire pic, sorry. Props to TSCHARN.

This other pic of Mumford is sick too. I love how it looks like his board's still rocketing up.

And that must be the best Tscharn photo I've ever seen. His stuff from the 90's and early 00's was terrible (IMO) but this one's great...

i saw that Pedro Barros kid last weekend at the pro Tec pool party....14yrs old and unbelieveable. Dosent have little kid style at all. He fucking charges shit so damn fast.

That first picture is sick. Transition skating is fucking fun as hell and if you don't enjoy it, it's probably because you havn't tried it or are really bad at it.

"vert" usually refers to the jocks on halfpipes working it like figure skaters.

If anything pure tech street (mark johnson excluded) is begining to feel alot like vert in the late 80s....dying

HERE are a few of the reasons this pic is sick, if you'll allow me to kill the magic by over-analyzing it artsy-fartsy wise:

1. Composition:
a)the skater's back arches like the coping above it so that they are kind of parallel.
b)His legs form a right angle that parallels the hip's coping.
c) His arm and board are parallel as well

2) Thematics:
Shirtless, sockless, shorts, pads barely visible. The tanned nubile skin dipping into the hot, hard, massive concrete abyss. It's a great representation of epic skating: man vs a massive concrete beast.

3) Perspective:
Even though you can tell he caught a big air his figure is still contained within the bowl by the opposite lip. This emphasizes how big that bowl is and how fast he must have been going. Also, the fact that you can't see his landing spot (right where he's looking and the board is pointing) adds suspense and danger.

Again, sorry for getting so nerdy, but I couldn't resist further acknowledging the brilliance.
