Basicaly I've been reading SLAP for 5 years and one day I was like "Okay dude, I'm gonna hit this place up." So, I did. Then I got a ton of shit, layed low and there yah go. here i am again.

i used to lurk the o.g slap forums because of the 'download all the videos' thread, although i think it was called 'download old world and 101 vids'. That thread was amazing.

Back when I just got into skating I used to frequent heyday.
At about March 06 I following a link from there that led to here.
The place was a comedy goldmine. I lurked hard and read as much as I could. Only 2 weeks ago did I finally make an account.
I'd say the highlights were Small Time skates colonel boards and JT having several blackbox related threads pulled because they made him feel bad.

funny story, actually: I had been real depressed for a few months prior to learning about this site. It finally got to the point where one morning I woke up and decided I didn't wanna live anymore. I went upstairs to my parent's bedroom and loaded up the shotgun, but before I went and did the deed I was about to go and check my email one last time to see if I got any new myspace comments. Well...low and behold: my little brother had left the slap forums up on the family computer. I read the "things you are not stoked on" thread and realized that I had finally found a community of truly miserable motherfuckers I can relate to. In a way...slap saved my life.

P.S.: I don't even skateboard, yo.

I heard Pops was off Lakai and on Converse. So I searched "Anthony Pappalardo on Converse" on Google and a Slap topic came up, I eventually just grew onto the slap forums.

been lurking for a few years...posting for probably 2.5 years but my first account was deleted when things got weird. i just remember always reading interviews, even 5 years ago, and people talking about "the message board haters" and i couldnt figure out what fucking message board was making that kind of impact. it sure as hell wasnt transworld or thrasher, so i came here.

In '02, I was a bored, adolescent douche. Everyone got annoyed with it, and I was rightfully put in my place. So, I went on lurker status and kinda stayed there. I like the ridiculous stuff that's posted here, which is why I keep lurking. I've stopped skating long ago, unless I'm going to the cigarette store. That's the only exception.
