Ah, it all makes sense now. Veteran tip: the artist will always want to make it big, big tattoos cost more.

Yeah, maybe I was too naive, because he explained me that the details would be very hard to do if the size of the tattoo was small, and that anyway a small tattoo on a thigh would have looked empty as it was the first, etc...

But anyway, he did some good work imo and I'm happy with the result.

Fuck I've wanted to go to Bait and Schlang forever. I have tattoos from Dan and JF, but I've never been to their shop or mtl for that matter.

That's a sick first tattoo Thomas. I don't think the size is wrong, and I do think a smaller tattoo would look weird. Most tattoos worth shit make the tattoo fit the spot rather than just doing a full body suit to make more money...

Don't get me wrong, it totally fits and I'm not saying any artist is trying to rip you of. They just like to go big.

I wouldnt totally agree on that one . I mean if you go the the really good guys , the artists. The ones where you have 6 months to a year waiting time. They will go for what looks good and what works

On one of my new ideas my tattoo guy made a point in wanting it to go smaller cause lack of detail on the things in the tattoo made that possible

ANYWHO !

Any of you guys have tattoos you regret ? and what do you regret about them ?  post pics if you got them

I've always wanted a tattoo that reads "No Regerts" and every time I say I'm gonna do it my wife gets nervous. One day though it will be done.

I feel like a dumbass because after my 3rd one from my main artist, I figured that shit out. I don't mind big ones as long as they don't mess up the layout of the sleeve I'm going for and he cut me a deal on it. It was about 2 hours of work and he charged me about half. It was extremely painful though.

Another tip: Don't get tatted on an empty stomach/low blood sugar. Almost had to end the session early because I couldn't manage the pain enough. I toughed it out but learned my lesson.

Got the ship in July and the faceless gentleman in September

Kind of trying to keep it more traditional on this sleeve. Just seems more authentic to me.

I have a traditional dagger that I regret. I regret that I went with something that simple and boring. It looks weird and compared to all those awesome variations of daggers one could do, I really fucked up.

Wow, that's really sick. The detail on the scarf is really impressive. If I'm ever in Copenhagen (which is my hope) I'll have to give him a shout!

Best translation I can think of is "Ketchup on your shirt - and mustard in your ass". It's the lyrics from a song by Jokke & Valentinerne named To Full Menn, which means "two drunk men". The chorus goes something like "two drunk men, ride again".
Song:

Thanks guys!

Fuck, that's what my wife said when I asked her but she wasn't sure. I'm flying to CPH tomorrow but I'll only be there for a matter of minutes before heading to Sweden.
