Langston Appreciation
« on: July 24, 2006, 09:53:01 AM »
Because Alexactly's faggot ass fucked up the One in a Million Thread I wanted to post my props here.

I just saw David Langston's video for the first time and I am definitely biased but fucking stoked on it. Clean style, big gaps, good song and good trick selection. Been dying to see it and it was worth the wait.

Videos
Curtis Rapp

Mike Freeland

David Rickett

Randy Ploesser

Patrick Binkley

David Langston

Tom Asta

I still don't like any of them. It seem liked slap went hammer city. Last year you can see who you stood out and there was different styles but this seems like the year of the skinny pants hammer clippers. The last dude was a mix of Ryan Bobier/Chris Cole/ Omar Salazar when he was on foundation. Not much style at all . I guess I'll be forced to vote of one of em.

David has fucking sick steez. Did you see his front half cab down the 11? shit was so clean and effortless. The 8 stair + sidewalk gap that he back 180 is huge, I think only Darrell had done it, and he made it look easy. He is the only person I have seen down south that can come close to Nate B's casual style.

He does skate a lot like him. Steez is real similar on the catch's and landings. I have no idea how people can skate that smooth.

I added his video to the top of this thread.

Good tricks and skates with speed but the video felt like the tricks came too fast or something. Not my favorite but the guy kills.

i thought that the level of clips (apart from the latest one) was higher than last year. last year tom and 2 or 3 other ones were really good, but the rest of the contestants were quite weak. to me it seems that it's harder to point out the best one since there are plenty of good ones. nothing THAT amazing, but still really fun to watch. the first guy is still the best, followed by 4th and 6th.
